  1. Hello I went out the other day to try out the new Makro Gold Kruzer in some field testing. I took it to an old patch that still has gold, mostly small stuff. But also has bad variable ground. A good place to test a new detector. The Gold kruzer is a higher frequency vlf that runs at 61khz only. It comes with 2 coils a 10 x5.5 concentric eliptical and a 7.5 x 4 eliptical dd. And really nice comfortable wireless headphones that are very easy to sync and stay synced. The gold kruzer is very well built like a tank and is lightweight. Unlike previous nok/mak brand coils that were a little hollow sounding when you bumped into rocks and such, these coils are thinner and solid. The Gold kruzer runs exceptionally smooth and quiet in this bad ground. It is a struggle to run gold monster on any auto mode or sensitivity no higher then manual 6. At this site. So it was quite shocking to see how quiet it was. I ran the sensitivity at 70-75 and even 80-85 at most of the area without any trouble. Other detectors blank out the threshold anywhere you swing it, but not Gold kruzer. It detects right thru without trouble. It does get good satisfactory depth on gold as does most newer vlfs. I was able to detect for a couple of hours and in that time i picked up a few pieces that Gold kruzer hit on well. Im looking forward to going back out again with Gold kruzer and trying some more areas. I will be also doing a video of undug targets with Makro Gold Kruzer, equinox and gold monster as Rob made us buy them all. Lol . I will also continue to have more post about Makro Gold Kruzer soon. All in all i would recommend Makro Gold Kruzer to anyone wanting a gold vlf that is very good at running smooth in bad ground and finding tiny to bigger gold easily. And is completely waterproof. Thanks and Good luck!
  2. Hello Well after a million days working and no time to do anything, we finally had a day off to go detecting. I was excited to try out my new 18" detech mono coil for the 5000. And my lovely detecting partner was really excited to try out her new Gold monster purchased from Rob Allison. I was very happy with my new detech coil. It is very very quiet in noisy ground. I did manage to snag a .24gr nugget at amazing depth also some lead missed by the coiltek elite 14 and 18". At my over grided patch. It is definitely a keeper. But enough of that. The real story i want to mention is how crazy good the monster is. We went to a place where you can spend the rest of your life detecting tiny gold. We have detected over this ground for many years with dozens of detectors. In recent times the makro gold racer was dominating the field. Today my partner running monster in auto plus found many undug targets for me to try with the gold racer. Unfortunately i could only hear a third of them. I even turned up the gain on gold racer to 99 in all metal with no threshold and tried both disc modes maxed out to no avail. The ones that i could hear were mostly tiny zip zips on gold racer. They were very loud for their size on gold monster. It was unbelievable. My partner also switched everytime to the gold monsters disc mode before digging to see how they responded. They were also very loud and brite in disc mode. Only slightly less sensitivity to them. We also tried to run a few manual sensitivity settings in all metal on gold monster. We tried all the way up to manual 10 setting. But the mineralization is a little noisy with the manual setting. Thats where the auto modes shine. The mineralization only made an ocassional peep mainly on exposed bedrock. But it pretty much just ran smooth and quiet all day except for the screaming gold signals. I can definitely say i could not believe my eyes. Especially how loud the tiniest ones were. I actually feel like im now running an ancient old tech detector now with the gold racer. I am definitely going to be getting one myself. I have mostly ran vlf detectors for the last 32 years for thousands of hours and this has been the best new tech ive seen come along in the vlf class bar none. If you own another vlf besides gold monster like i still do. Give it away, sell it, whatever. And go get a gold monster and go get the rest of the gold you missed with pi detectors, zeds, and other vlfs before the other gold monster owners get it first. Thats my plan aswell. I hope to get some side by side video comparisons here shortly when i get my crappy camera back from warranty repair. I almost forgot all the gold found with the gold monster 18 pcs only weighed 1/2 dwt. The smallest 2 pieces didnt even weigh in the 10ths of grains. Have to weigh those in milligrams. If you own a gold monster and you look at the red dot on the foreign writing thats how small the gold is on the 10" coil. I watched in person these were found at 2" easy. Others were found anywhere from 2 to 4 inches. Good luck
  3. Does the gm 1000 come with coil covers for both coils? Beings my partner wears them out quickly, will the replacement covers be in stock soon? Is there any idea on how many hours the stock battery last?. Chuck you should get that pick ready to ship. My partner who is a girl with supersonic hearing and Bose headphones always finds the smallest gold ive ever seen. One of the last ones is technically gold dust. Found with my Gold Mak. We will be posting some finds soon and a field report.
  4. This is probably about the same tech that coiltek is using on the elites. But I think Coiltek was first. I know I like mine and cant wait to heal up and get back using them. Good luck
  5. Im sorry to here about your new good detecting area that has been ransacked. I have had the same thing done to some of my great permission places. there is a few around that are disrespectful and sneek in to these places. ive had some great places in the past where I attain permission and the owner said that no one has ever been allowed to detect there before. I was really excited to go there only to find out that some had slipped in without permission and took most of the gold. There is one guy around that is famous for this in a couple different counties anyway. its too bad these days the laws dont punish them enough to scare most of them. best of luck with your situation.
  6. Hello Ive been away for awhile and I havent had a chance to detect in a couple months due to an acl seperation/tear in my knee after successfully riding a mechanical bull for 10 seconds. Unfortunately, I need to work on my dismount. My recovery and rehabilitation from surgery is going painfully slow. Right now im trying to keep my business going and work on therapy. I hope to be back soon out swinging my Nokta/makro detectors and coiltek elite 14" and 18' on 5000. But for now it is good to see any gold detecting action on here that anyone has done. Thanks and Good luck to all Californiagold
  7. Nice finds Rob. Atleast you didnt forget how to run the gpx. And the elite coils are a nice edition to use on the 5000. Last time I used mine, I was running deep and fine gold at a pretty mineralized spot and I was very impressed at the depth that I was getting gold. good luck while your on the 5000.
  8. Nice gold finds Rob! I thought you fell off the end of the world for awhile. good to see your back on your gold finding groove. good luck
  9. Hello, I received my new Gold racer 7.5 x 4" elliptical dd coil for testing today. I don't have a chance to try it in the goldfields till this weekend, so I made a demonstration video before dark. this coil is a very well built coil and is going to be great for tight spots and bedrock for tiny gold. it is very sensitive. it is going to sell for a great price. $109. definitely a must have coil for gold racer owners. I hope they make this size for all their detectors. good luck
  10. Pretty warm in cali today so maybe phoenix hit 100.
  11. made it out today for a short bit to clean up an old patch. I ran the 5000 with the Coiltek mono elite 14" and my female partner ran the Gold Racer. only found 3 more pieces between us to finally finish our spot. my partner got 1 piece with gold racer that was .7 dwt and I found 2 pieces for ,8 dwt. so 1.5 dwt for the day. the coiltek mono elite is still very amazing how deep that it finds gold.
  12. Hey Doc Sounds like everybody had some good suggestions. I see you met the ruthless manzanita bush. this is where I spend 95 percent of my detecting time. I wish I had a dollar for everytime the manzanita ripped my headphones clean off my head. I would be rich with dollars. I think manzanitas work in unison to keep people out. one gets you by the headphones, while the other slaps your face and the next gouges your rib cage with a dead branch spear, and the last one castrates you. I have literaly turned around sometimes and smacked the hell out of them with my pick just to get even for the scratches and gouges. My partner she thinks im crazy and lost my mind. but I know those bushes hear me now after hitting them back. alot of good gold in them bushes. good luck with your new toy. and becareful of them manzanitas.
  13. Doc, the powerdrill socket trick I do myself. Make sure to carry a can of good ol wd40 or equivalent to spray on the leveler screw threads. Makes it alot easier. They can get a little rusty from being outdoors. They do make electric levelers to have installed, if you want to spend more money. Also everything about trailers you have to be careful with. latches, handles, knobs, etc. It doesnt matter if you buy a $10,000 or $50; 000 trailer, everything falls apart easily. Ive owned a couple good brands before and it was same story. Another thing that you wouldn't think of is the lug nuts on the wheels, they do come loose. Lol a friend of mine asked me once if I check the lugnuts and of course I said no. After checking them and retightening them, I went on a short trip and a couple had backed off some. also make sure everything inside is secure and not just sitting around or it will all be on the floor by time you get to your destination. some how I usually forget to put something away, and it falls off a table or something. good luck with your new toy hauler!
  14. found a couple more deep pieces with the Coiltek mono elite 14" yesterday afternoon, ended up weighing 1.3 dwt for 2 pieces. good luck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=qYmBtIOll7Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Tx4C9OJyYKk
