  1. You can always put dirt and mud back on them if you don't like the way they look after being cleaned.
  2. Meant to add the foto also. Thanks Steve, good to know about the batteries.
  3. Hello all, Decided to buy the SDC 2300 last week. I put it to the test this weekend. Manage to find 5 nuggets in an area which I had hunted before with the GPX. Smallest one was .13 grams up to about .5 grams. I usually only use the 11" round coil (mono) with my GPX, so the smaller coil of the SDC seemed to outclass the Minelab with the 11" coil on small gold (as expected). I also want to mention, the targets were loud and the gold was only 1" to 5" deep. I enjoyed the machine a lot, very easy to use- especially if you are used to using a PI. One note, the machine comes with rechargeable batteries which only lasted me about 3 hours (which I thought was low) but maybe they weren't fully charged. I had bought 2 sets of Duracells for backup, which I was thankful for as I was along ways from a location to buy more batteries. No major complaints for the machine- it is pricey, but I plan on using it more in the future. Enclosed are some pics and a video. Good luck out there.
  4. Thanks for the comments, Adam- areas where I hunt I can use shorts and sandals (not in winter) but my feet do take a little punishment, but it's more comfortable than boots for me. I may have a different view point the first time I get bit by a snake-haha. Oldie- it was nice to find nuggets so close to car (5 minutes into the hunt), as I was skunked during the 3 day Memorial weekend. It continues to amaze me how sometimes I walk all over the place and find nothing, and other times I park right by the stuff. That gold is from Nevada.
  5. After being skunked during the Memorial Weekend, got lucky recently and did alright. Shot video of one of the nuggets if interested. ET
  6. Great find ! Gets me motivated to get out there just looking at it!
  7. Is this some sort of new Obama enabling subsidy for poor cattle ranchers? No, he needs to pay his bills, regardless of how long he has lived there. The BLM is the controlling agency for the land- enforcing laws enacted by Congress. Laws change over time, for example, if your family owned slaves a couple of hundred years ago, it doesn't mean you can own slaves today. The law applies to all- pay your bills.
  8. I don't think the words "trust me" carry a lot of weight over there.
