  1. I appreciate everyone who looked, but I decided to hang on to it. Sorry I don't know how to delete my post...
  2. Hello All, I'm selling my x-terra 705 gold with accessories. Unfortunately I do not have the time I had hoped I would. The minelab has only been used on 2 outings, it has less than 12 hours of total usage. The head has some scuffing and scratches, but nothing major. The whole set includes: Minelab X-Terra 705 gold with original box (Unit purchased from Rob) Koss head phones Display cover Carry bag Set of med/lg leather work gloves Tool bag and belt Nugget scoop Extra nylon bolt and wingnut Hermit pick. $850 obo
  3. I think I'll go with nvchris and cut one down to length. I have been looking at getting an Apex talon as a longer pick. I think with the 30" handle will have room to cut off if I want. Thanks for the offer Tom, appreciate it. I am so busy this week and I am meeting Rob in Wickenberg on Saturday so I'd like to get the pick prior to that. Bunks picks seem nice and look great for moving lost of dirt. They also seem to get great reviews by detectorists and amateur archaeologists. Thanks everyone for your replies!
  4. I am going to buying a pick this weekend and am not sure of what to get. At first glance I was looking at the apex badger, but after using my 18" folding shovel I realized that it is way to short for me. I'm 6'1" and don't know what handle length pick I should buy that would best fit my size. How tall are you and/or what length pick do you use? Thanks, Q
  5. I took my son out to some random patch of public land north of surprise. We had a lot a of fun, digging up old bullets, wire, and nails. It was really great getting outside. It settled some of the questions I had. I did learn a few things the first is I need a pick with a longer handle. My old military fold up shovel just didn't cut it. I'm way to tall for that set up as pick. Thanks for all of the suggestions, the gloves ended up being nice. The leatherman was nice for pulling out a few random cactus thorns. To top of a really great day of pulling lead out of the ground I got to put some back. I shot a couple mags from my new p238. Thanks for the tips, rq
  6. I'm sorry if this seem like a stupid question... When you're walking about with your detector what what to you carry with you? I know the basics. Water, Your metal detector with extra batteries, Plastic scoop and pick. Is there anything else or extras this newbie should be packing with him? Thanks in advance, Ryan
