  1. Claimjumper, I stated I saw no need to provide any more technical info to this forum and I have kept my word. Normally, I wouldn't have posted anything but the original post implied the "poor Whites dealer" was trying to scam people. Well, the truth is, the dealer is a multi line dealer that can sell most any Gold hunting detector. They also sell dredges, drywasher, and about every other kind of prospecting equipment used by people who want to find gold. They are probably one of the largest businesses of prospecting equipment in the area. So, I felt the people needed to know a little more about the issue at hand. Sorry if you feel I violated my position. I will try to refrain as much as possible, but I do feel it necessary at times to set the record straight with more truth on an issue. Am I biased, yep. Never said I wasn't, but that has nothing to do with the actual truth on the issue of being able to ignore hotrocks. Actually, the test done by the multi line dealer simply verifies what I stated. So you can relax, I am not back. Keep it honest and I see no need to return. Of course, you can always have me banned and do what you want. Reg
  2. Rob, I just got off the phone with the Whites dealer you are stating is using a hot rock "scam" to sell detectors and he tells me he is also a ML dealer and personally he doesn't really care which detector he sells. In fact, he makes more money selling the ML but feels for many people, the lower priced unit is more practical. What he told me is he has this particular hotrock that the 4500 can't eliminate but the TDI will. Yes, he does show that to people, but that is not all that he demonstrates. The fact is, for 1/3 the cost of the 4500, the TDI is superior when it comes to rejecting hotrocks. It is also superior to rejecting or ignoring external noise. No, the TDI will not detect all nuggets as deep as the 4500 can, but the difference is not that dramatic and certainly not anything like the cost difference. So, why do insist in stating you are familiar with the TDI, when in fact, you haven't used one enough to know much about it if anything at all, and then constantly comparing the TDI to a detector that costs more than 3 times as much? The truth is, one can operate the TDI as a turn on and go detector that will ignore most hotrocks far better than any other PI, period. One doesn't have to try to find the special mode to accomplish this feat. Better yet, once a person learns the little tricks, the TDI is a superior discriminator that beats a lot of detectors including coin hunting detectors when trying to find old copper and silver coins in iron infested areas. Oh yeah, it will also find gold nuggets in this mode also while ignoring iron. No, it will not detect all sizes of nuggets while ignoring iron, but will find the larger keepers people will love to find. To fully understand and appreciate all the TDI can do will take some time and I know you haven't done that, so why are you always take potshots at the detector? The fact is, the TDI was never designed to compete with the ML 4500, so why do you insist on telling the world how it can't compete on all aspects with a detector that costs over 3 times as much? The bottom line is, the guy showing the hotrock feature will show this feature because is important to him and he feels it is important to know. It is not done as a scam and not done so he can sell TDI's only since he can sell MLs also. Since he does sell both detectors and he does sell a lot of mining supplies, I would think he would know what might be important to someone hunting gold. Oh yeah, keep in mind that you are constantly referring to the fact the ML is superior at ignoring hotrocks when compared to a VLF, so are you not much like pot calling the kettle black? Reg
  3. I have known Elly since about 1990 and have been a member of most of the previous clubs associated with the claims on the hill. Yes, there has been other clubs that have come and gone, so this isn't something new. Elly has been involved with some of those previous clubs, and others were independent. Regardless, clubs have come and gone. So, this is nothing new. There is a reason clubs come and go and that is, no one wants to be involved. People have a tendency to treat a club much like they do a Kmart or Walmart where they think the customer is "always right". Well, small businesses and clubs do not operate that way. Clubs take a lot of time and energy to operate and as such can be very draining. Elly has enjoyed the company of a lot of nice people, but has had to put up with a lot of crap from the few that think the world revolves around them. Trust me, if you are one of those self serving ass whole group of people, the world could care less about you or what you think, and, no, the world doesn't not operate for your convenience. Now, since all of this discussion about the sale of the claims has happened, I have had a few conversations with Elly and to clarify a few things, the claims mentioned by Elly in the newsletter are sold and should be treated as such to avoid any problems. There is no delayed or pending date as mentioned. The new owner does own those claims and his rights should be respected. The club still exists, but is downsized, claim wise, and there will be no more pushes, at least, not supported by the club as they have been in the past. Elly has mentioned the club will exist until all the claims are sold, but until then, club members still have a very good place to go. I have hunted many of the remaining claims off and on since 1989 and found gold almost all of them on Rich Hill, so I know they have potential. If you decide you want a refund, keep in mind that you will not be a member any more and the claims will be off limits. So, think about your decision. There is still a lot up in the air that has to be sorted out. This will take time and a lot more thought process. Is it possible that things can be done with the claims that are left? Of course, but it would take participation of the remaining club members and a logical plan developed. Could it be worth it? Again, the answer is yes, but again, members have to be players and not sit on the side lines. So again, there is something to think about. Right now, Elly has a lot on her mind. She doesn't need any threats or hassles. She is not a kid any more and has dedicated a lot of her life to this prospecting adventure and the clubs involved in the area. Most people have been retired and living the retired life for years when they reach Elly's age. Well, it is time for her to enjoy life from a different perspective. As she has mentioned, she has grandchildren growing up she really doesn't know. So, she has decided this is the time to do that before it is too late. Personally, I think it is a great idea, so I wish her the best. If you are interested in still having a club, keep in mind you will have to be a player and not a spectator any more. If that is too tough, then it is time to get out. The sun will come up in the east regardless of how important you think you are and will set in the west long after you are gone. What you decide to do in between sunrise and sunset will decide how you are perceived once the sun sets. You don't get merit badges for stupidity or being rude or arrogant. So, if that is what you want to do, then by all means stand in front of a mirror and blast away to the only person who cares. Just don't expect any intelligent responses, should you decide to do this. For those who have enjoyed the club and what the fun it has provided in the past, it is time to think of what just might be done before all is gone. Reg
  4. Muffin Gump, Scientists believe the human species will split into two groups. You are clearly proving them to be true. I was here first, you move. This is my USA and I am going to take it back from those who shoot their mouths off with no facts to back their rhetoric. Reg
  5. Grubstake, You say you vote to protect your guns. So, my guess is you do not believe in a nationalized health care system that that would be socialistic plus it would indicate that just maybe the Democrats have a decent idea. Yes it is socialistic. Now, which is more important, your guns our your grandson??? Keep in mind that today the US is the only major industrialized nation that does not have a national health care plan. Keep in mind that the US ranks 37 out of 150 countries as to the quality of care. No, it is not first or even close. Those countries that rank higher do have a national health care system. Keep in mind that the medical costs for health care in the US are about twice what they are in other countries. Keep in mind that many decisions today are made by insurance companies and not by doctors. Keep in mind that under a HMO, many doctors lose money by taking more tests. Keep in mind that the average life expectancy in the US is dropping. Keep in mind that if national health care would have been in place or was in place today, there wouldn't be any problem with treatment for those truly needing it regardless if they had a job or not. Keep in mind that if national health care was in place, there would be no need to take shortcuts or cut costs. Keep in mind that if a full national health care plan was in place, someone would have to answer for major screw ups simply because of national outcry. So, are your guns really worth all that has happened to you and your family?? Would you trade them for medical coverage that wasn't trying to avoid full or the best treatment? The truly sad part is, there are a whole lot of other people besides you who will suffer because of poor or no health care in this country. My guess is you either go to the VA or are on Medicaid. Keep in mind both of these two programs are just socialistic portions of our government. Do you really want to do away with socialistic programs? I am sure McCain will assist you. You right wingers can really be proud of your stance on this subject that socialism is bad. Muffin Gump, chances are members of your family will not be able to afford health care in the future. Why worry, you got yours!!! So, you can be proud of your stance that they will gamble without coverage and you can hope they don't end up needing medical attention. Why care anyway, your family shouldn't have to worry about national health care or need it because you have all the answers and the fact you know socialism is bad. The real truth is, you will be affected in the long run and you will not like the results. It is just a matter of time. Unfortunately, this problem with the medical system will affect most of you right wingers or your children or your grandchildren in the long run since most companies are doing their best to shed the health care coverage or at least the cost of it. Once again, you prove stubbornness and stupidity will prevail over intellect. So, you belt sized IQ geniuses, keep your mindset that you know what you are doing. After all, you can have more kids, right? Reg
  6. Claim Jumper, Once again you do not know what you are talking about. The facts are, Bush began planning the invasion of Iraq in January 2001, 9 months before 9/11. You really should learn to read and you would know these things. So, Bush did not have the same info as everyone else. In fact all indications were Iraq was no threat. Even the CIA had that in their records from years past. Finally, I could give a damn if people forget me or not. That is the least of my worries. Reg
  7. Muffin Gump, You started the name calling and I am just meeting you head on. If you don't like it or both of us in the US, you move. I have been here longer, so you move. Better yet, grow up and learn the facts. If you don't like being called a fool, then don't act like one. It is that simple. What gives you the right to try to condemn anyone else or use name calling directly or indirectly and then cry like a baby when it comes back at you. As for being one of the elite, I have never said that was one. I simply do not run off at the mouth with no facts to back my statements or try to preach a political agenda that is based upon stupidity. You have basically called Obama a dictator and you are worried about name calling? What a joke. Lets hope McCain gets elected. History will repeat itself and 1929 will look like the good old days. I am set for life, are you? Reg
  8. claim jumper, You are really one sorry ass. You obvously voted for the only president to try to ban guns and you imply you know my beliefs. Nobody I voted did this. You voted for the person who lied to the American public for reasons to send Americans to their deaths in a country that was not a threat to the US and you supported this. So, it is you through your stupidity who supported the killing of US troops because of lies, not me. It is you who supported the president who believes in reducing the malpractice limits. So it is you who is helping the doctors who maimed a person's grandchild. Yes, it is you through your stupidity such things are easier to do. So, don't imply that I am non patriotic. I am just not stupid. Maybe we should put McCain in and let him have his way. After all, he voted to reduce VA benefits and wants to cut medicare and medicade. Better yet, you should convince him that all socialistic policies are bad. Then we can eliminate some of them you just might need such as public schools, public highways, the VA, medicare, Medicaid, social security, FCC, FAA, FDA, ICC, etc. These are just some of the socialistic governmental divisions that many Americans survive on. You appear to be about as smart as Muffin Gump who believes that all socialism is bad. So, obviously, you, like muffin gump, would want to do away with them. After all, we can't have any "Marxist" concepts in use. BTW, just for the record, I probably own more guns than you do and at least, I am smart enough to know who to vote for so assure they remain mine. I work on facts and actions and not propaganda and low IQ remarks. I personally consider it far more patriotic to bring our troops home rather than have one more die for lies. If that makes me unpatriotic in your eyes, you truly are pathetic. Personally, I feel you and people like you should sign up and demand Iraq as the place to be sent. In the mean time, don't forget to invest heavily in the stock market to support your president, whose policies have made the market and the economy what it is today. One thing I am not is a racist bigot. Yes, I voted for Obama and proud of it. Reg

  12. It is truly sad that people believe this kind of crap is responsible. No bill passed in 1977 even with mods will cause what is happening today, but it does give those responsible a good excuse to cover up the true reasons. It also makes it believable to those with no knowledge of economics. Blame the other side always provides a convenient excuse. Hitler used it all the time. The brain dead mentality that believes this crap deserves what is happening to them and what will happen if it continues. I quit posting here some time ago and now I remember why. I will try to avoid future posts. Reg PS: The sad thing is even Republicans will not believe fellow Republican Ron Paul when they can try to shift the blame; http://www.ronpaulwarroom.com/?p=7696
  13. Xasan, Here is a link to Hosfelt Electronics. They sell on old unit for a fairly cheap price. Once at the site, just search for radiation. http://www.hosfelt.com/ You can also find other units at Hays Electronics. Here is the link to his website and radiation detectors. http://www.hayselectronics.com/radiation.htm I hope this helps. Reg

  15. I will give you this one, then I am done. I have found probably 5 nuggets that are invisible to ML's. Keep in mind I only hunt a couple a weeks or so a year also. Now, I am gone So don't waste time on questions for me. BTW, how many have you found over the same period of time???? Reg
