  1. I think this works. I took Mikes text file and converted it to an Excel spreadsheet and then saved it as a PDF file. Just click on the link below and then print it out. http://www.juddcom.com/temp/gp4000QuickRef.pdf
  2. Mike, Cool Chart. Looks like you did it up as a spreadsheet. Any chance of posting the XLS file so that the rest of us lazy butts who don't like to type can just print it out?
  3. Keith, looks like you picked pu a few more nuggets on your second week, good job. So did Druid the dog finally die from blood loss? (too many mosquito bites) Did John's new outhouse pass the muster?
  4. Allen, Glad to hear that the new knee is coming online. We have been working the fossils in the quarry since the end of April and have been pulling out some really cool stuff. As soon as you are up to it lets go fishing! Looks like we will be heading up to Montana the first week in August and are definitely planning on hitting the sapphires. Looking forward to having you show us how to do it.
  5. Steve & Allen, Thanks for the kind words. You realize Allen this is all your fault when offered and I grabed that last spot for our first trip to Ganes. Actually Steve you share some of the blame by starting everything with your initial trips to Ganes. This was my 4th trip, 2 to Ganes and 2 to Moore Creek. The end result has bee about 15 oz of Alaskan gold all safely tucked away in safe deposit box at the bank. Its been a real hoot so far! Thanks to both of you for the opportunity.
  6. I got some pictures posted that I took on the second week. Take a look at: http://www.juddcom.com/photos/Moore%20Cree...9-06/index.html Take note that I flagged the location of all the nuggets that I found on 3 of the arial photos. All my nuggets came from just west of camp down to Nevada Gulch. I used the stock 11" DD coil on a GP3000 for 9 of the nuggets. The stock coil is my favorite for Moore Creek, lightweight and easy to manuver through the brush. The other 3 nuggets were found using the Xterra 70. High grading dig holes got me 2 of them, another Xterra nugget came off the runway in a real trashy area. The more I used the Xterra the more I liked it. I predict the Xterra will become the detector of choice for hunting trashy locations like Ganes Creek. Finally, I would just like to say thanks to Steve, Bob, & George for some great hospitality.
  7. Just got off the Red Eye from Anchorage. I am happy to report that week 2 found 35 nuggets, over 15 ozt of gold. I myself found 12 nuggets with a total weight of just over 3 ozt. My largest nugget was found on the last day 50' outside of camp above the outhouse and weighed 1.16 ozt. I have some pictures that I will post later, now I must sleep...
