  1. My condolences to George, his family and his close friends. God Bless!
  2. Dawn, Happy Birthday to Rob's best sales person. Now you can start counting the days till September! Chris
  3. Turn it up and enjoy the squeal of burning rubber especially the third one from Iraq! http://www.chevelles.com/video//Burnout_International.wmv
  4. Rob, Thanks again for getting me my 2 piece upper shaft for my GPX 4000. It works like a charm to be able to break down the detector and store it in the hard case where it is safe. I recomend the Minelab case because it is far less expensive than the Pelican Case and it needs no special work done to the inside to get things to fit properly, you just need the 2 piece upper shaft. I love my Minelab hard case.
  5. I am not too sure about that Rob character!!! His partner on the otherhand is the brains of the outfit! And Dawn is so much nicer to talk to! Rob is the best! No ifs, ands or buts.
  6. then the spill in the bay! Sport crabbing just started on November 3rd and we are starting to feel the effects of the oil spill. I guess this means I might have to get the detector out a little more this winter! I just finished up with having crab for my family and neighbors this week and then getting ready to head back to the crabbing grounds get stopped because of someone making a drastic mistake. It looks real bad for the Bar Pilot that was guiding the ship as well as for the US Coast Guard for not containing the spill when first detected. I was in the USCG and we did many a training drill deploying a boom to prevent an oil slick and contain the problem. I usually have a crab feed for Thanksgiving and it looks like there might be turkey in my Thanksgiving future this year. The spill is huge and cleanup/response is slow. Pray for our ocean.
  7. My condolences to both Matt & his wife. I lost my Dad in 2001 and miss him every day.
  8. Shep, Promise us that youi will say NO to wearing spandex shorts! A Clamper in spandex!!!!!
  9. I just bought a pair after calling Bates last week to confirm that these are security/metal detector friendly boots and a known name brand for $35 + shipping + tax if you are in CA. http://www.lapolicegear.com/bates.html They came by UPS tonight and I can't wait to take them out and get them dirty. They seem pretty rugged and ready for some abuse.
  10. We refer to Rob behind his back as "Magnum P.I."! He knows how to get the most out of your P.I. machine and definitely can find the stragglers!
  11. Meteor Oaker!!! You are starting to get old there Ron!!!
  12. Glad you got some good goodies with the 2100! Next comes an assortment of coils to use. There are some areas up near Angels camp to hunt that are open as well as some GPAA claims that are a little north of there as well as towards Sonora/Twainhart. That area is not far for me and always willing to go out with a newbie to the area.
  13. This is not more hype coming from an uneducated reporter. Check out the enemies website. http://www.ewg.org/ These guys are serious about putting us out of business.
