Thanks rob The detector can only get so deep in the bed rock and like you said theres probs more deeper and not sure how or if we going to get them that bed rock and gliche take some chipping aways with a hammer and chisal .....and i know iv did yards of the stuff, And im thinking maybe the bigger stuff is up on the moutain side? and did not tumble that fare?....but ill find um if there up ther i dont give up that easy dont care how deep i gota go or how much mountain gota climb.. Hey Wanderer yes dude we are out that way, well we are in 4 diff locasion,s out there and always happy to share with locals in the area ,im not the type that keeps every thing hush hush like most , there is plenty out there for every one so its no biggy......   3. Hey matt Thanks for the post, to anwser you im not useing any heavey equipment. Just bear hands and a rake and spade, And yes i use a VFL ..GOLDBUG2..for now untill i get the whites TDI..iv used it in my area and the ML 4500 and in my own opinian the TDI was better and im sure im going to get some greath after saying that..lol...ow well each to there own huh and it is 1/4 the price.. happy huntiing to you m8.. karl

  6. Hi to all forum members. Got to local patch around ten this morning , yeh yeh yeh was not me who got up late lol ,he knows who he is . Any ways started working are area and come 2 o,clock we was ready to go home and did not have to much time for the light to fade, So i said we would remove 2 more feet of dirt then call it a day, And then zip zip zip first nice little nugget which is the one at top in the picture, then zip zip zip the secound nuggut come out 8 inchies aways, Then one more zip zip zip and out come the 3rd around 2 feet from the first too and its the nuggut at the bottom of pic, This is my 5th outing in my area and now we have had 17 nuggs from 3 differnent pachies but all in same part of the mountains.......Will be out again friday.. karl...

Hey supper nice to meet yuh m8....Iv only been going up that way for around a year now and tend to stick to same place as its been good so fare, I dont know the area that well yet but learning all the time and any hints and tricks always welcome here or throw a privet message....And your right iv herd lots of old timers here say the same thing about the johnnie and breyfogle mine being the same, Iv spoke to a old timer who is probs one of last still liveing close buy and he is 100% sure of it and im sure he would know cos he has lived here close to the johnnie for some 80 years now......and alot of parts iv hunted in has come from him... good hunting to you.... kc goldbug2

Hey bob thanks for the welcome mate, ill be getting some pics here real soon of are trommel we use and the pics from this weeks outting ......Also my home made dry washer which some wants to see cos its a one off build and not seen any thing like it before happy hunting to you ,may you pan have colour and and your coil sings alot ..lol....

  11. Hey sandtrap ty for the welcome... I was in the vegas club untill about a year ago when i joined the one here in town ,we have 80 acore claim 15 minits aways and there good colour comeing out them hills.....Come join the fun......

Thanks flak ......its nice to have a bit of colour so close to home and only a 15 minit drive , and just as nice is the fact we aint even close to cleaning up the area ,will take years .....A outing there on saterday useing a 6 feet trommel gave 26 small pickers and lots of fines with about therty 5 gallon buckets put throw trommel, pics here soon... thanks again for welcome flak

Hey Rob It was nice to get a welcome from at least one person here lol....with all the views i had ...ow well not to worrie lol...Any to anwser your question / yes i use all 3 of my tools while out in the hills depending on weather and were im going.....My best finds have been with a drywasher, and iv had some luck also with sluicbox and the Mdertor....We took a trommel up the other day and WOW WEE...what a good day that was with only tweenty 5 gallon buckets put throw it, 26 pickers and lots of fines..........Will be out friday with the drywasher in a wash we been working for some time now which is still perduceing colour.... ID like to say hi to all you guys and gails here at Nuggethunting.com...The name is karl and im new to the forum and fairly new to the USA......Iv been here in the Usa for 4 years now ,moveing here from England, I started life here in san diego CA, then after 6 months moved to Pahrump, I know alot of you are asking how the hell do u end up in Pahrump from ENGLAND lol, well its a long story, but hey this is now home and i love my new home and also the USA, ....Any i was a keen m/detecter in England with lots of call finds under my belt from canon balls to gold coins....So now im here in USA im still at it useing a gold bug2, and a home made dry washer with a built on honda engine for the power chain, Also i usa a sluice box... Id like to meet any others in my area here or even close buy to go on the hunt with, Iv had so luck here close buy and im happy to share my finds and locastion,s as im not a greedy person as theres plenty out there for all of us .....Ill post some pics soon if any one interested of the home made dry washer and maybe even some gold pics of gold found in my area...Any way nice to meet you all, happy hunting out there.... karl
