  1. Matt, Thanks for your pictures. From the photographs you upload. They are Qing dynasty(the last dynasty in China) currency. Both of them are brass coins and very normal ,worth about several US Dollar . The left one is Jia Qing (One of the emperor of Qing dynasty,1760 AD-1820 AD ) currency. The right one is Qian Long (One of the emperor of Qing dynasty,1711 AD—1799 AD.He is the father of Jia Qing emperor ) currency. The characters on the coins of the left picture is the language of Manchu(one of the minority race in China. They conquered China 300 years ago and built the Qing dynasty. All the emperors and queens of Qing dynasty are this race. ). The characters on the coins of the right pictures are standand Chinese Character. Althought almost all the people in China speak, read and write in Chinese Character , no matter what their race and their languages are, just like most Spanish in USA know English, but there are some minority languages still are used by some minority races now. I imagine these two coins were taken by Chinese workers into USA about 100 years ago. Have a good day. Luo Jiang
  2. Hello ,Matt: Thank for your answer.Actually I am an amateur coin collector .But I have several friends who are experts of Chinese coin. I guess the coins you got are normal Chinese coins after 1800,if coins are copper. If they are silver, there is still a small chance they are precious.Ancient China seldom publish gold coins. Although I am still very interested in what your found. I look forward to your pictures. Luo jiang
