  3. Dutch John Here is all I could find on the Rendezvous...... AZ LAUGHLIN 2009! AMDA’s Annual Rendezvous & Treasure Hunt Weekend for 2009 is tentatively scheduled for October 23, 24, and 25, 2009, in Laughlin, Nevada, subject to approval by the Clark County Chamber of Commerce. The hunt site again is located at the corner of Woodbury and Thomas Edison Drives, in Laughlin, approximately ½ miles West of Casino Drive. Watch this webpage for the hunt flyer that you will be able to download and more details as we approach hunt time. The Colorado River Treasure Seekers (CRTS) based out of Bullhead City, Arizona, have graciously volunteered again to support our hunts by preparing the field and planting the coins. AMDA’s staff will seek out local hobbyists for field support to limit travel expenses when needed. Our thanks go to those hobbyists who do support our events. AMDA is a service and non-profit organization that operates for the enjoyment of the hobby in metal detecting across the country. We hope you and your friends will continue to support us. Please contact us, if you have further questions. WORD TO THE WISE: Because of the current instability of our US economy, we suggest you take out trip cancellation insurance, in the event AMDA has to change, alter, or cancel an activity. Thank you, Carolyn Garrett, AMDA’s Chairperson Cgarrett71@hughes.net; phone: (719) 749-0134 2009 LAUGHLIN RENDEZVOUS Flyer - Download Here Copyright © 2002 All Rights Reserved American Metal Detecting Association

  7. Found a very old GOLD Belt in safty deposit box. The belt weights 2.2 lbs. Story has it that is is from Turkey around the turn of the century. It was brought threw Egypt and then to the US. in the 1930's. Just wondering if anybody on the forum has any idea's of it's approx. worth. It has markers marks on it on the buckle it's self... It has been verified as 18 caret GOLD AZ
  8. Slim I do a lot of MDing in the hills in northern Arizona around Laughlin and Bullhead City. I find that traveling long distances on a quad a little uncomfortable with all my gear so I travel in my desert buggy. I can carry everything I need and it is street legal. AZ
  9. That snake has been on the internet more that Paris Hilton. Saw it for the last 3 years on all the forums. Somebody was playing tricks with the camera. AZ
  10. Rob My words have been said for your Grandma. Hope they help. AZ
  11. Congrats on the CDL. Had mine for 35 years, and when I retired here in Arizona I gave it up. Had everything you could have including motorcycle. After 35 years of bouncing over the road I figured I just want to ride through the desert in my buggy and enjoy the rest of my life retired. Good Luck, and remember everything Grubstake said. AZ
