Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble too, Gary...will add ya'll to prayer list as well...still praying hard for Alec and Stella... I have a problem going on right now, here ... they are working on the cable lines so I am not online a lot because I cannot be...the cable goes off and on all day long... My sons bought me a brand new computer with Vista...I am learning it slowly...it is different but once you get the hang of it, it's simpler than xp was to do many things....luckily I saved all the bookmarks on uahoo:) so I can find all my blog boards:) Love to all, Deedy

Gary, I retired from nursing in Merced in 1985 but kept abreast because of tons of foster kids until I left CA about 7 years ago...however, if nothing has changed, here is an option for Alec...they move in with you post haste...Get a doc to refer you to Valley Children's Hospital...ca crippled Children's services will get everything you need for him including medi-cal and subsistence for them. She will need to get a CA DL immediately or a CA ID card, will need her birth certificate and alec's as well, also social security cards. Stella will need or have access to his medical files..they can be faxed. Another option is come over to AZ with same documents...get AZ ID or DL, stay with us, I am 4 blocks from the University hospital...whether she has funds or not they must give every treatment to Alec that he needs, through the university hospital...AZ doesn't much do subsistence funds but I can take care of Stella's needs. As long as they are citizens of the US and are in AZ, the hospital must provide services....they will send a bill later but $5/month till hell freezes over will do. Texas is the only other state I know that requires full medical treatment to be given with or without funds to pay. I cannot believe Loma Linda didn't call up a social worker right then and there...there are lots of funds available for kids treatment in CA...but I don't know that they have to provide funding for out of state kids...At your place or my place she will have a local address. This email sounds stiff to me...I am po'd at the insurance company, at Loma Linda for not doing what they should have...I am just ticked...this baby needs help now, every minute of delay is putting his life in danger...Stella is doing everything she can and this time the system is getting very close to child abuse and neglect. All my love and prayers...forgive me but I get really ticked off when it comes to kids...I would be stomping down the door of social services at this point...let the lawyers take care of the dang insurance company....Deedy

Gary ask Stella if it's alright for me to post this addy and Alec's pic on our church site...it's in CA, I still enjoy services in our little Atwater church via instant messenger and webcam :0 ...some of our congregation is ther ein Mariposa and some in the vally as well as Angels Camp area....they will send prayers and perhaps some more help financially will be gained...but don't want to post her babies pic without permission. Hang in there, Alec, the Granny has the prayer line busy PS already got "Alec" as the star of my desktop background so we remember to pray often for him

I believe I see some jade inclusions in that serpentine...gj most of the nephrite jade and some jadeite we got were from jade beach south of Montery and north of seal beach...but I see some pretty jade inclusions, I think...hard to tell...might even be jadeite actually...and hard to tell from a pic too...but scratch with a nail, if it scratches with all your strength, probably soapstone, if it doesn't most likely will be nephrite jade..nice find I did have one very large serpentine rock I found in the Bagby area, about 20#...had chromite crystals, mostly serpentine, nephrite jade and soapstone all in one rock...lost it though in the move...probably my kids hid it so they wouldn't have to lug it lol...sigh...wanted to sculpt it but se lavie oh I just remembered another test, nephrite jade feels waxy ...the mineral museum in Mariposa can ID it for you

The light colored boots look just like the desert uniform boots my youngest son has...he loves them and he has extremely sensitive feet...hope they work out well for you...they are really nice looking

I am really happy to hear your family was spared, Gary...sorry others were not Really mad at the governor...the National Guard should have been trained already and been there from the git go I am greatful the Austrians and New Zealanders came to help but they shouldn't have had to....there are thousands of National Guardsmen in CA and the reserves could have been called up to help as well. Maybe I don't understand the politics but an emergency situation should forego the (blank) politics. How is Stanislaus National Forest faring? Really happy you are all ok Deedy
