  1. O she was cabelafella. Lol. See you on Friday.
  2. Thanks Adam.yep that is the same looking ironstone gold. I need to go back and look for the source.
  3. Nothing like creek hunting on a hot day. The big one is 5.5 Penny and all together is 8.9. All the smaller nuggets I had to pry out of cracks and crevices. The 1/4 oz nug was sitting on bedrock with moss over it. I was using my gpx 5000 with 14x9 goldstalker. All in all good day.
  4. Thanks guys. It's my first specimen with ironstone in it. Makes sense because there is a lot of quartz and Ironstone mix in the area.
  5. Thanks guys. Rob, are These specimens more rare then quartz and gold specimens? I'm going to keep it natural; the red make the gold pop.
  6. Was out with my gpx 5000 when I came upon this little Beauty. Over the years I've found my share of gold specimens but this one is different. 9.1 penny for the big one and 2.5 for the small one .the gold runs all the way through both specimens. The small one broke off the bigger one at one point. Both were down in the same hole about 14 inches. I was wondering if you guys have found gold in this form?
  7. Thanks guys. I will keep you guys updated with stories and pics now that I figured out how to post pic with my phone. Happy nugget hunting : )
  8. First I would like the thank Rob for the killer service. I took the 5000 to an area that I hammed with my 4500 earlier in the year. I was there for about 5 minutes and got a faint target , I dug down around 8 inches and out pops a .7 gram nug, It was a nice start to the day. Found 3 more small nugs for the rest of the day. Total weight was 1.6 grams. I was running the 5000 in Fine gold with gain at 15. The 4500 I ran there earlier was in enhance with the gain at 11 and a mono coil of course. I love my 4500 but I think me and the 5000 are going to get along just fine. : )
  9. The area that nugget came out of produces a variety of different kinds of gold. From Waterworn to octahedral to specimens and everything in between
  10. Some of the prettiest gold I've ever seen came out of that patch.
  11. My buddy Dantae found that nugget and Chris Golson ended up with it. I was there wen he found it. I have found a couple ozs of that octahedral gold. Beautiful stuff
