  1. Hi Rob, Haven't posted here in a great while, but thought I would check out what was happening with the latest gold finds, and came across this thread. Your in my prayers also buddy.
  2. I hunt gold, plus I hunt quail. Best eating bird on the planet. I believe I read on a previous post that someone could have been hunting quail with high caliber rifles. That is news to me, cause I never heard of it. It is quail hunting season, and I have hunted for quail in the bumblebee/cleator area many times. Good topo and habitat area for the gambel quail. My point is, consider also what is going to be happening a time of year without getting skiddish, and to concerned thereby, drawing into other conclusions, and making a big mistake. That happens a lot these days. We all know that misuse leads to disuse, and unfortunately, our society has evolved itself more toward looking for excuses to further erode traditional freedoms and heritages without looking at a bigger picture. That's what is happening with the ever increasing litigation, and score boards of today, proving the ever increasing constant battles we have of our freedoms being targeted. Like I said, misuse also means disuse. It's called the cause and effect of the problems being solved which lead to forfeiture. I never thought I would see in my life time, what I see happening today. If I could look into a crystal ball and see the next 10 years ahead, I believe I would pass on looking through it. If law ever needs a excuse to shut down a party, cause of a lethal event, they will build their case to justify the actions. I have been shot from a distance with #8 bird shot accidently by a friend both of us chasing quail. It stung like crazy, but I didn't die. A High caliper rifle on the other hand would be a different story.
  3. Doc, I'm interested to. If I'm getting this right, one technology measures phase sampling methods of (sign wave) on VLF detectors in a constant energy field, and PI detectors are using timing samples of pulse energy wave on decaying target eddies as timing samples in a field. One uses phase sampling method, the other uses timing sampling method. The new GPZ-7000 detector is actually using a combination of both sampling (technology) methods, except instead of a pulse energy transmit, the swapping of a polarity field is being used. Decay rates on targets are still being used as it was in the case of the PI's, except the polarity shifting of constant high energy field is being used thereby measuring time lapse decays on target ID's recieved? That being the case would also explain the need for a new coil antenna design. Mark
  4. I may have talked with you on the phone befoe John, but I'm not sure though. Are you a pilot also? Thanks for heads up about the pricing. I'm not as seasoned prospector like I used to be, but able to only get out a couple of times a year. I am looking forward to this new 7000 coming out also. I'm going best offer at this point. Mark
  5. Hi John, that wouldn't be me. The detector is in Arizona, and I live in Texas. Price is $3800 now. Mark 214-563-7259
  6. GPX 5000 for sale. Only been used a few times. Comes with the standard Minelab GPX boxed items plus gold screamer battery pack kit, detector cable guard, single speaker. Well taken care of machine. $4000/best offer. Call or email Mark McClendon mgmccln1@gmail.com
  7. Use a Ohm meter and compare the impedance of each pin. You can usefully tell which is audio and which is the juice from the old verses the new. Normally the juice has the thicker wires.
  8. I personally would not hunt areas I’m not sure of these days without permission, or receipt of membership in writing. I will normally hunt areas in a friends helicopter for transportation to reduce time consumption of transportation, and to cover more areas I can get into for research depending on what time of year it is after plotting thoughly the area sought from geology maps, and staying clear of claims, which tend to be inaccurate for certain areas plotted. If I ever find a undiscovered patch, the last thing I will do, is make available for someone, or something to access information about. With gold prices as high as they are, it brings out the beast inside of man, and that includes government. The golden rule of silence is golden, is a for sure thing. Especially for now days. I’m mostly in to the geology of what is, or could have been missed by the old timers, and to stay clear of the beast. The old timers did cover an enormous amount of land over the past, but I know exposures that have been missed off the beaten path, by the minerals signs from hovering above. I have a friend in Prescott that can vouch for that. Be careful when you venture off to what is a known area period. The teeth have grown, and it still looks to be growing with this commodity on the rise. My 2 cents. 1 Boeing
  9. OOps, your right, I missed that. Sure is a beauty.
  10. Rob, I think the picture is small also. I can't see any gold. Maybe my cataracts are coming back . Mark
  11. Man, I thought I was on the Sudan forum for a second. How was it found?
