  1. Surprised to see your selling your old faithful 4500. Someone will get a very good detector. Wish you luck selling it. I’m loving my my modded 5000. Wes.
  2. Nice gold. Bet I know where most of it came from.
  3. Nice gold Lucky. You both have the SDC 2300? Wes H.
  4. Nice job Lucky. Good looking chuck of gold. You should do sme writing for ICMJ. Later Wes.
  5. Ray Love your posts. Nice going on the gold. Those little ones add up fast. Ya we could see it start raining in a month and not stop for a month. Only problem with that is it creats flooding. If we don't start getting something by the end of February and into March then I'd say we will be in trouble. Its a good time to hit the creeks and rivers and do some snipping with a detector. Take care, Wes.
  6. Hope you guys have a great new year and find a lot of gold. I'm just hoping I can get away from the shop and get out detecting this new year more than the three times I did this year. Happy new year. Wes.
  7. Yep thats exactly how you do it. Just out having fun and the gold is icing on the cake.
  8. Hey Nice nugget, way to go. You know when your out with lucky in bear country you don't need a gun for bears, you just need to be able to out run Lucky. Now the cash crops are a different story.
  9. I had Woody mod a SD2100 for me a few years ago and it operates great. Its has a noticably smoother threshold and it has great depth and is much more sensitive to smaller gold than my old SD2100 was.
  10. I have to agree that my Extreme had a noisier threshold than my 3000. I would get the 3000. Actually if you could find a 3500 I would get that.
  11. Your picture looks like a lot of my days over the years. Comes with the territory. Keep on digging the gold will come.
  12. It would also be a good idea to carry two spare tires if you are going to be driving around a lot on the gravel roads there. Minimum 6 ply 8 or 10 preferred. Good luck. Wes.
  13. A new model might put the 5000 down into my price range. Until then I'll stick with my 4000.
  14. Lucky Nice gold and I like the picture of the gold on all the coils, its a nice touch. I think you still have time up there before the snow hits, might have some cold days just got to dress in layers. Wes.
  15. Wow!! Nice chuck of gold. Virginia obviously has some very good gold producing ground.
