johnmac
Very Nice, what is the method for extracting the gold from those rather large ores? A crusher of some type I assume… Really nice looking, almost to nice to crush~!

Grubstake1
Acid bath! Hydrafloric, if you can get it. Grubstake
ARGONAUTE
That would take a lot of hydrofluoric acid and its probably not worth it. take some test slices and polish - ?
johnmac
I assume the acid leaches the Gold from the ore? Crushing them almost seems like sacrilege they are so spectacular. If you sell them, how on earth are the valued? Any idea how much gold could be within the ore? If you don't mind explaining, what is an OLM and how does it determine the quantity of Gold contained within the ore? What a great find, I wish you many, many more~! Grubstake1
No the acid leaves the gold intact, it eats the rock away! Grubstake

Old Tom
Hey Johnmac, don't use that Hydrofluoric acid if you don't know what you are doing with it. That is real mean stuff and will burn a hole right through you if you are not careful. Grubby probably gargles with it and is used to it, but beware brother. moonlight
we used an test metter touche to gold on both ends and it makes contact to each place those rock have many brothers and sisters were we are finding them the vien has been worked here in place back in 1800s the rocks have a rose coloerd apperance
johnmac
GM, thanks for the explanation~! OT - yeah, sounds a bit too dangerous for mouthwash. I've used some fairly caustic stuff over the years and avoid it like the plague nowadays. Don't see my self doing anything other than renting crusher to building a large tumbler with ore that size…. IF I ever get so lucky~!
