carms
picked up this speci about 300km north of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia - last season. As you can see in the first image thats my little finger to the left and they are the ridges of my fingerprint. The second image is a close up of the gold. Now there must be some more gold in the 25gram speci but i have done a SG and there is not enough gold to get a figure. This was picked up off the surface with a 5000 using the 15x12 semi ellip mono commander coil, literally right next to a number of old holes. I have had a lot of success with tiny nuggets with this coil...many say it doesnt get the small stuff but i have a handfull of 0.1gram pieces and under to say otherwiseThe only way of knowing how much gold the 5000 detected i guess is to dolly her up....ill let you know if i decide to crush her what it panned out to be.carms
