oneday
why do people buy a heap of small nuggets rather than the nicer 10-15gram nuggets?i have a heap of small nuggets and i generally smelt them down into 10oz bars and sell them to the Perth Mint.i have got a 370 gram nugget with some quartz yet its a lot harder to sell.Ebay is flooded with small nuggets yet they all seem to sell.Maybe I should try something different.regardsoneday
Mike Furness
Oneday ... 370 grams is a large nugget ... most folks don't want to 'invest' that much to say they have some natural gold. Even if you call it 350 grams for round numbers that is worth about $12,000.00 with gold at $1100.00 and ounce. Just rounded numbers ... not exact figures but as you can see that would be about $35 a gram ... just saying! LOL!
Tortuga
Lots of buyers for nuggets costing $30-40.Not many buyers for nuggets costing $12,000.00. Things are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. It's awesome finding huge nuggets but some might not be as valuable as they seem.
