Nice and cool out, cloud cover, little rain..and some goldThe area we went to is LOADED with iron stone and hematite.Did a lot of rock moving and boot scraping today. This little guy was hiding under 3 ironstones. Nice to kick them out of the way and stillhear a target! I picked up a .3 gram pc similar to yours with GPX5000 and 11" DD coil, at about 2" in clay. I was running fine gold mode and the target was clear to the ear. oldies1955 Posted November 16, 2015 Author Report Share Posted November 16, 2015 I was using a 9x14 mono on the 5000. Gain was 8.It ignored about 50% of the hot rocks...pretty shallow. Bout 3 inches.This area had been hit hard by myself and a friend in the past, but somehow thislittle guy snuck past us We did have some pretty heavy monsoons in the area this year so it may have been deeper in the past.
