DOC
I was sure this was a piece of trash, because it was only 3 to 4 inches down and it was a good size piece. I thought it was either lead or a broken off end of a pick. I was surprised. My batteries were running low so I really wanted to hurry and get it recorded just in case it was a piece of gold. way2cool
Doc are you using a magnet on the back of your harness to hold your pick?
DOC
Yes I have a super magnet stitched on the back of my harness. Works great. Keeps the pick away from my detector and my hands free. I stitch a little pocket into a piece of 2 inch webbing that then slide the magnet in and stitch up the end. I do it that way because trying to work with a magnet around a sewing machine needle is a bitch.I leave a little tail on the webbing so the magnet can swing up off my shoulder and jump onto the pick.Doc
