Tortuga Posted May 21, 2015 Report Share Posted May 21, 2015 The Oak Tree Fire has burned about 2,000 acres just north of Greaterville and so far is about 20% contained- http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/arizona/2015/05/20/oak-tree-fire-scorches-500-acres-still-burning/27691927/I was hoping to get out to Greaterville this Memorial Day weekend but the odds don't look like they're in my favor.If anyone has any updates or have been down to that area this week let me know. I may try to contact the fire department this weekend to see if they're allowing anyone down there.If it spreads I don't think I'll be able to prospect there for a little while but the fire may help clear out some of the grass there.
