Britain's Best Selling Metal Detecting Magazine

Recommended Posts

That's what they say about their mag. They could be the only treasure hunting one they have.

I was at Barnes & Noble looking for any thing that had to do with treasure or gold hunting and for the first time here was this mag. that I'd never seen. Most of the treasure mag's is 4 to 5 dollars out the door but this was over 10:50. You may have guess it's my first and last one I'll buy.

To show you what a small world we live in. The first person I see and know is Digger Bob. It was him with that big nugget that was found in California.

You see ad's for lots of detectors I've haven't seen either. They have all of our state side detector ad's too.

Great mag. but just too high dollar to get it every month. Oh but the treasure that can be found and what they do find.

PS Hey Digger if you didn't get the mag. let me know and I'll send this one to you.

Hi Chuck. No, I haven't seen it. Cool if you could send it when you are done with it. They must have cobbled the info together from other sources as I never talked to them.

Thanks!

Hey Chuck and Digger Bob... :) this is like back when we were posting good stuff

on White's TDI forum... it was sad when one angry poster spread his poison and

some of the most knowledgeable posters quite posting tidbits, in-sites and

technical observations. I really enjoyed all of the sometimes expensive stuff that

Chuck donated for 'raffles' and it was Digger Bob's settings that I used to be lucky

to find a 'few' nuggets on the north-facing Rand Mountain Management Area...

Unfortunately all good things end... Jim

Hi Jim & Digger

So many times good people get hurt by the words of one. I've always believe in live and let live. You find some are not happy with their life and they'll drag you down too.

Oh well Jim we just need to move on. It's history now and I don't really like saying this but someday we'll be too. I've turned 74 this past Friday and I remember when I found a coin that old how happy I was. Now to me that coin is like new.Ha

Digger

With that smile on your face you'd think you found that nugget. I'll get the mag. to you soon. Every page shows gold and if not gold it was silver. I've found some old coins over the years of detecting but nothing like what you see here. They call the mag. Treasure Hunting. This is past coin hunting. The name Treasure Hunting fits what you dig it up over there.

How true Chuck ol' friend :)... As I once mentioned to you... Texas is rich with meteorites but

sparse with gold.. Gosh I know your wife's gun is filled with love  and you are enjoying life

to it's fullest while seeking your own treasurers... and remember to keep alert for the stony

meteorites that Texas is blessed with as they are masters in disguise  and blend in with the

local rocks...

I will add this thought... but I know you (Chuck) and Digger Bob both know the numbers of candles

on a birthday cake are just candles and neither of you will let the burning wax interfere with the taste

of the frosting. My last birthday cake was rich with 85 candles and glowing bright and warm... and the

frosting was delicious and I'm looking forward to my next birthday cake... But I'm sure that anyone

reading topic agree with all of what we are saying... jim

Hi Jim
i'm not into guns as much as a friend that is 82 but I'll go with him. He'll be looking at a gun and I'll come up asking him what you going to buy me Dad. It's a good thing he is a good friend.

The only thing with detector hunting anything in Texas most is pvt. land. At one time years ago hunting with your metal detector you could get permission. Today everyone has a family who so ever that's going to hunt it. You know what they say is not true. You say thank you and move on.

Jim you sent me that book on Meteorites in Texas. Just maybe the color of gold in Texas is a different color.

Take Care Jim !
