Rob with Rob's Detector working an old Patch with the GPZ - Youtube Video

Excellent vid Rob, I really like your digging technique. how you dig is very important. I see a lot of people wasting time searching around trying to find a nugget they either chased deeper or flung while digging. keep your pile small.pull it back.

I keep the pick tight on the bottom of the hole, sideways as you did if it doesn't have a wide head. if you use a small head pick you can chase that nugget to china as you dig. it will keep falling/rolling/sliding back into the hole. you would be surprised how much time this can save digging good targets or bad and dont forget the magnet too. less wasted time. and of course always check the pile and the hole before back filling.

Great video and I agree with Bob on the way you pulled the dirt out of the hole. Be it coin are nugget never think you got it all and walk away without checking.

Minelab with the GPZ 7000 you out done yourself. You got one coil that will find the fly specks and the larger nuggets. No need to go buy other coils when this one coil will do it all. Oh yes the electronics has something to do with it too.

Thanks Rob and keep the videos coming.

Good video. I like doing that with the pic also. Don't just hog out the hole. Like you said, you can fling it or lose it then you spend more time looking for it. Or a big nugget you can damage or break. That machine sure picks up the tiny stuff deep. It's like they installed a GB2 into a minelab.
