Nokta Fors Gold

Recommended Posts

DiamondBackDave you may be right. I respect your opinion.

sometimes I question things I may have some doubts about.

I had some questions for californiagold and the Nokta detector. even with all my jokes,

he calmly answered with straight up answers and removed any doubts I had.

Now that doesn't sound like an out of control Bob to me. Just for the record Bob, I enjoy your jabs and wit ... your knowledge of most subjects here is pretty good too. Just in case anyone is thinking what a suck up! ... I don't have to suck up to anyone as at 66 years young I have experienced a lot of the same people reactions in my real estate career ... there are always folks that know more than me ... BTW fewer and fewer now as I continue to age and there is less and less for me to learn! ;)

Mike , the remark was completely unwarranted and unnecessary. There are always those who disagree but they should keep it within civility. Bob's contribution to this Forum has been invaluable and should be lauded instead of ostracized. Keep on, 'keeping on' Bob, don't let The b........ wear you down.

My son and I have learned so much from Nugget Bob in the past. He has taken us to some of his old gold areas and patiently instructed us in many ways. Boulderdash and Adam are a couple of very generous guys that if not for them we wouldn't be in a position to impart some of our knowledge to the younger set. You can ask a few on here just who were they were with when you got your first Az. nugget. We take guys and gals to some of our secret spots and have a great time doing it. You can't make a statement like that and not be challenged. Maybe you are going about it the wrong way? There isn't a finer bunch of miners than on this forum.

Old Tom ... I wasn't slamming Bob at all ... Just making a comment that I didn't think he was out of control as one poster said he felt Bob was when he referenced Bob in the same boat as Jennifer.

To others who feel we as the 'old guard' don't share you have no idea! ...I respect Bob and his knowledge ... and like myself he is very willing to help anyone who will at least listen ... newbies get a lot of help from me ... ususally it is by way of PM or a phone call. I got lots of help back in the day and I like to see newbies shorten their learning curve and find their first nugget.

anyway It is nice to hear you guys like reading my stuff. Thanks. :)

Didn't this thread start out with metal detectors called Nokta and Makro?.

I'd definitely like to try out these detectors.

what ever works best, works for me.

Hey Bob

Yes this did start out about two detectors names the Nokta and Makro. We know they are one in the same company.

I'd email the company asking about the Makro gold Racer and when it would be out. They said it was still being tested and then trying to sell me on the fors gold. I just told them I'd be here waiting until the racer gold came out.

I'm still not sure if I want a all coin detector are something in between. I don't have a full working coin detector at this time. I wish I could get all new guts for my Eagle 2. The nice thing about it if you didn't want to detect something you just push reject and it was gone. I'm still looking!

On this name calling. Old saying " People who live in a glass house shouldn't throw rocks "

The best to all on here. Where else can you meet some of the best nugget hunters on any forum but right here.

I hope I said that right.Ha

Hey Chuck I had a Whites 6000 DI and an Eagle 2 you could notch out reject the dredded pull tabs with it.

It had a target scale painted right on the box so it was easy to remember the ID numbers/settings.

I used to coin hunt with it just to clear my head on nugget hunting.

it seemed to work, I'd get in a rut so Id go coin hunting for awhile come back and find gold with my Fisher gb or Minelab 2100.

I finally switched to a Tesoro Lobo for high trash in Ghost towns. it could pop nickels out of a trashy dump.

The Whites seemed to have a problem with high trash around old dumps.

I think It was ID overload. to many different targets under the coil at once. a smaller coil may have helped.

but it was great at IDing targets in places like old schools, yards, beaches and parks.

I dont coin hunt as much as I used too but I'll tell ya its still hard to pass up an old foundation just driving down the road. :)

The funny thing about looking for any type of detector is everyone has the top of the line. The odd part it just so happen that's what their selling. One good way to weed some out is watch some videos. Now this can also be fixed to favor who they want. I seen one today on the Racer and Fors Core air testing on some very small nuggets. On the very small nuggets the Racer came out but as they got bigger they came out about the same. Now I wonder just how good the Gold Racer will be. I think like the Fors Gold you can coin hunt with it too. The trouble with me is I wanted it yesterday if not sooner.

I see that only the high dollar ones have it so you can pick just what you want to detect. Say in a range of one to a hundred on a scale of detection I could detect 22,76 and 85. Everything else I'd never know it's there. So far I've yet to see any detector under a thousand that's got what I want.

I must say when I had a detector that you dug everything I did find more rings and you just about didn't miss anything.Another thing most would say sure go ahead and hunt all you want.

Oh well I was young and strong then.

Hi deathray

Yes it was Keith doing the video and he's done others. This is the first one with gold nuggets. He did say someone had sent them to him. On another video he had said someone was sending some for testing being he didn't have any.

That was good of you to do that. I'll tell you thanks on that one myself.

Hey Dave,

I respect everyone's opinion, but lets be honest here. You have called and texted me a zillion times in the last 6 months. I have told you my honest advice, but you always decide to purchase the opposite of what I tell you. I understand you have a budget, like most do. Keep in mind, I never had an internet, gold forums, the wealth of information now out there back when I started. I was lucky enough to find someone willing to help, but I paid my dues dearly. I found some spots, showed my mentor and got cleaned out. It's just part of learning what you missed. I know you have been out a handful of times with no gold from what you have told me. Welcome to the club (being nice), some have went years with not a single nugget.

It's a numbers game, you can't complain you're wasting too much gas or spending too much to search for a nugget. If that is the case (being nice again), get out of the hobby. You're probably going to spend far more than you ever get in return searching for gold when you tally up gas, wear and tear, food and drink expenses and much more. That all being said, it's the "adventure" of being in the outdoors and the lure of maybe finding a nugget(s).

A person that is not financially sound shouldn't be gambling on finding gold to supplement their income. For more, this hobby is recreational and is for fun and the "thrill of the kill."

Hope you understand. The ones that give up, will never find a nugget. The ones that push hard, continue to search will find gold!

Hey ROB, I've taken plenty of people and put them where the gold was and stil is, problem with doing that is, everyone wants to go. Some if not most that have gone to my spots have found gold! you and Denny did ok, So did lots of others. Now its all about being closed mouth, But I still past along some areas to Fred, relichunter. Take care Grubstake

Anyone who starts out with the attitude that they will find enough gold to supplement their income,

anyone who cannot listen to freely given advice from someone with experience in the area they are asking about,

anyone who does not recognize that trust and friendship come before anything…

anyone who starts out like that,

has a long road ahead of them.

On a separate note:

Grubstake I am one of the people you were kind enough to take out to a spot

that had produced beautiful gold for you. I will always thank you.

I did my best to respond in kind and I know you remember that part too.

best wishes and good health to you and Dorothy.

Thanks David, It was my pleasure taking you out, and the others too! My health and Dorthys is not good, but I'm still on the top side of the grass! And hope to be for awhile longer. Grubstake

They say: 10% of people detecting find 90% of the gold nuggets! Well I think I'm in that 10%. So is Rob, and a bunch of other people I have hunted with. Great guys, the whole bunch. Grubstake
