gubelube
man this gpz 7000 is causing a frenzy. people are selling gpx 5000s as cheap as $2800 stock with few acessories. one guy on chris site just dropped from $4k to $2800. i think instead of buying a 7000 when they come out im gonna snatch all these great deals up as fast as i can, when they see the price and if for any reason they dont like digging to china ill make me some money selling them back..lmao. i think that package im buying from Cobill is still an awesome deal regardless. i wont need more than that , besides a 2300 for cleaning up after the 5000. but if that new 7000 beats them both in depth and small gold, ill be buying one as well. loljohn
way2cool
Looks like the 7000 will get about a %15 increase over the 2300. Your right about the good deals on the 5000's I would expect some good deals on the 2300 also. gubelube
yeah, looks like its going to be a game changer for sure. i bet we see more larger gold at depths on here now than smaller ones. if that dude reaches down it will definately be putting some weight in your pokes. i am so determined to wait and get one, but i just cant pass up that package i already committed too. if it get superb results like the 2300 did for small gold on both larger and smaller gols at depths and blows them away, i will buy one regardless. but i think i will wait, i know they wont be able to cover all of arizona and Ca that quick lol.john
gubelube
i can really see this thing at about $8500- $9500. im sure it will pay for itself. so Rob, they are already saying on the main page of this link what are you waiting for...tell them price lol. McGator
Probably going to be a panic sell-off of 5K units which will drive the price down for used units. I'm just going to hang on to mine and see what happens since I also use it for relic and coin hunting. I do have my eyes on an SDC but waiting to see the 7K perform when it comes out.Mike
gubelube
Yeah. I hear ya. Thats why im jumping on that package cobill is selling. Ive had the 5000 before and few of the gp series. Im thinking of a sdc 2300 as well. But if this new 7000 is better than both in one ill graduate my dad from his gold bug pro and give him this 5000 and get me a 7000. If its not all that ill just grab a 2300 for cleaningup what the 5000 misses. If this thread is out of place rob. Please move. I posted it here by accident. Lol. cobill
Well this morning the GPZ 7000 is listed at $9,999 on a couple of sites...ML is going to make alot of money on this one!Bill
way2cool
$9,999 if that is right that's pretty much a down payment for a house. Way out of my price range I'll stick with my 3000 maybe I'll pick up a 2300 later.
McGator
What!! No .99 cents. That is up there but I would guess the dealers will trade it for around $7K with some extras. Still up there though. Thanks for sharing Bill
way2cool
yea $9,999.00 sounds a little better then $10,000.00 LOL

gubelube
if I was you I would sell that 3000 for whatever you can and jump on these gpx 5000 deals. I have seen them at $2800 and will suspect that you can get one for $2500 easy with stock accessories. I almost bought one but since cobill has a super deal im buying it with all the extras. I don't think after the frenzy is out regardless of depth I think the 5000 and 2300 for less money is a better combination. this 7000 may have the 5000 beat on bigger gold deeper but how often do you hear of them whoppers, and when you do its with whats avail now. I know a few more inches makes a difference but we will see how much. im not spending 10k on a detector til I know its worth it. I can seeif I was a seasoned nuggethunter and was getting all the bits and nuggs these guys get almost everyday I would jump on one. but them bits and pieces have been found just fine with previous detectors and theres a lot of uncovered ground if you are willing to look. I think they will just be hitting mostly older patches and will be successful due to them being proven patches. we will have to wait and see. but minelab knows that people will pay for it in other countries like austrailia and sudan ect where huge nuggs are found dai;ly. of coarse the more experienced and pros here in the states will all have one, because they can afford it financially or because they make a living at it and cant afford not to splurge..john
McGator
For now I think I'm going to stick with getting an SDC and maybe a Gold Bug Pro and hope to win the lottery. Then I can buy a couple of GPZs and a helicopter to get around in. You can buy a lot of great detectors for $10K and still have some change left over. I second your comments John. McGator
A quick check of FB revealed a GPZ page from Minelab. I stuck the 5th like on it. Get Some!!https://www.facebook.com/minelabgpz7000
Uncle Ron
The 7000 is selling for $10,700 Aussie dollars ... That's equal to $8,313.00 US$ about. That sounds a little more reasonable Cheers, Unc
ahorton10
Mike you never about the lottery, I have been skunked on ten scratchers in a row, my track record is almost as bad as nugget hunting lol. Statistically I should have won theee times, I guess im just lucky...
McGator
I'll make a deal with you Adam, if any of us two hits a big lottery we'll buy the other a 7k. Besides scratch off tickets give me something to scratch besides myself. BTW> Bob and Bill did find some small gold up on that claim. Its still out there!!Mike
