Glenn
got out yesterday for my first hunt since I got back to az for the winter, scored seven in an old area, the water has really changed a lot of areas, some for the good some not so, but you have to take the good with the bad, 86 grains so I will take it, can't wait to get to some of my other spots, took today off to redo all my gear, amazing how many things you forget on the first trip back out, you would think that after 12 years you would have it all dialed in, but I started without water, my gun or a straw to blow out the cracks, had to walk back to the truck and grab everything I forgot, so today I am setting up my new vest with everything I need. adam
Nice work Glenn...But now I have to figure out what 86 grains is , and I hate Trigonometry
Glenn
There are 480 grains to an ounce so I got just over 1/6 of an ounce, I use grains because it is extremely accurate, but my scale does all the others, so I could put grams or pennyweights, I am just used to grains, I guess it's all those fly specks I used to find, lol. Hey Jim, great to be back, we will have to get together when you get a chance, yeah I felt like a total rookie walking off without half my gear, I don't really think I was excited or anything. Glenn
Are you still hunting out in that same area, I will be checking a few of my old patches out that way in about another week, might run into you out that way, I have a few new areas out there I want to look at, pretty far off road, but I love long hikes, lol
boulder dash
Yes sometimes, hit a couple of half gramers in the wash where i ran into you while i was Drywashing there was alot of materials moved about and im sure you can get lots more out of there. Road in is really rough shape and was even hard on the quad. Also if you see a dredge in the bushes in a extremely remote area that is mine, didn't do as well as I thought only 27 grams in 7 days. Glenn
Anything I see out in that area I always assume it belongs to you guys, that one wash has really produced some gold over the years, I would love to have hit it about 10 years ago.
