When I opened the box it was shipped in it reminded me of a beautiful fine sculptured work of art. My kids in years past would have called the SDC a transformer as I extended it. I was thinking back when I too was young. I'd go to a Fair and always wanted a balloon and I'd watch as the balloon was filled with helium and like the balloon the SDC got bigger. So much for the story . This detector is the cats meow. I didn't lie when I said it's beautiful. This beast is built for the kill on small gold. The best part of this is this detector belongs to me and if you want one call Rob. I thank Minelab for a great product they put out for us nugget hunters to use. Have I turned the SDC 2300 on yet. Well the answer is no. I'm a long ways from the gold fields but I've got a lot of gold for air testing of different size. I guess you could say that I'm savor the favor to make it last. The orders are really coming in now for the unit as many "proven" field tests have been validated. While many doubted the ability of the SDC during the early stages guys like myself were picking up hundreds of smaller and larger overlooked nuggets. I have paid for the metal detector here in Arizona with 7 trips into the field. I have collected right at 3 ounces of smaller gold for over 100 nuggets (I still have to post some more finds). We have just got in the new Headphone Lead that allow you to use the SDC with any 1/4 inch headphone jack of your choice. We also got more 6000mah 1.2 volt NiHM rechargeable batteries in. Ha No joke Bob this is the most I've ever got this excited over a detector. It just looked so neat folded up. You can see the engineering that went into this detector to make it what it is. The thing is it didn't come with a detector stand and I just don't like to get the good money I paid for this detector dirty. I just painted the stand today and maybe finish it up tonight. Hope to post a picture. I said good money and to me money is always good .Detectors fall into good bad toys and other things may be bad bad toys. Ok here is the truth of it all. I think my wife middle name should be Honey Do. I'm working on one of her Honey Do and not what's important like my SDC 2300. Ridge Runner Posted October 11, 2014 Author Report Share Posted October 11, 2014 Well I got the stand made but now my computer won't let me download my pictures so I can post them. The stand looks great and I painted it blue and fits great.. Now that's not the only trouble I've had this week. This guy pulls across two lanes of traffic and I couldn't stop in time. Well there went the front of my new Nissan truck that hadn't made it's first oil change. Hey Rob if you don't have a stand for your SDC I'll be glad to send this one and I'll make me another. I have lots of material left and the only thing I need to buy is the PVC parts. Be my gift to you for great service you gave to me.
