Admin nuggethunting Posted August 17, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted August 17, 2014 Hello All, Lately I haven't been able to swing the detector much due to the work load and business. At the last minute Saturday afternoon I told myself I couldn't sit around anymore, needed to get out for a short hunt. I loaded up the GPX 5000 and gear and headed to a spot to see what the recent Monsoon storms have done. The particular spot was great many years ago and always a good producer after a good storm system. I guess it's getting to point the easy gold is gone and the storm not doing enough to move the overburden in the right spots. I did manage to dig a handful of iron rubbish, a few lead bullets and one Gram sized gold nugget shown below in a bedrock crack. Sometimes the exercise and the fact you're away from the stressful city life is worth the weight in gold. Hope you enjoyed.
