Gravelwasher
Labor day hike with the wife turned golden. I almost didn't bring the GP3000 out for the hike but decided I should try anyway. Hit this little bugger below 10" of loose gravel on bedrock with a platypus mono coil. Did the happy dance after spitting it out and seeing it really is gold! Now the wife knows I really find the gold vs stopping off at the gold jewelers on my way home..lol She asked me if there is more gold around the same spot, she was ready to dig up the whole area..lol Good times, for sure made our weekend even more special. NvDoug
Congrats. . . Nice piece. . . With a great helpful attitude like that, I'd be handing her a shovel. It works for me!

Admin nuggethunting Posted September 4, 2013 Admin Report Share Posted September 4, 2013 Hey Gravelwasher, The Coiltek Platypus is a great coil. I can't tell you how many guys are hitting nuggets along waterways with the Platypus coils. Any idea what the weight is on that piece? Looks like a pretty good chunk of solid gold. Congrats! Keep us updated if you score any more. Rob Allison
