Hello All, Today a partner and I managed to hit a few patches at Rich Hill. I was able to snag 4 small ones out of a 10 foot area. My partner found a nice water worn 4 Dwt piece in the lower portion of the patch. Pictured below you will see where I snagged the 4 smaller ones using the Coiltek Joey DD Pro. All the nuggets were between larger rocks or hiding under brush. It's still out there .... Rob Allison

Hello All, In this video I discovered this small gold nugget, around 1/4 Dwt in size. The gold nugget was found in a small drainage bleeding off a ridge. As you might notice, the gravel is fairly shallow, so sniping gold nuggets from these area can be easy if the gold is there. After the discovery of this small nugget, I found three more around the same size in a straight line up the hillside. About 100 yards up from the discovery of these nuggets, I found a large shelf area, which could be a patch. Excited to get back out there and see where the gold is coming from and if the flat area might be holding the best nuggets. I was using a Minelab GPX 5000 metal detector and Nugget Finder 14-inch Elliptical EMZ Searchcoil. I mentioned in the video the coil was a RMZ, but it's elliptical so it's the new EMZ that is solid on top and bottom. Hope you enjoyed the video. Rob Allison

Hello All, A partner and I decided to beat up old patches once again, hoping for a few easy ones. We hunted for about 4 hours, dug plenty of iron rubbish around the old workings, but managed to scratch up a few nuggets among the garbage. Due to the amount of trash from the old-timers, I was using the Coiltek Joey DD Pro 10x5 for better seperation between targets. I managed to find the biggest nugget, 4.7 Dwt's, but my partner found 5 smaller ones. Larger nugget on left of Joey searchcoil is mine. Smaller pieces on right belong to my partner. Hello All, Well today a partner and I decided to try a bit of luck exploring a new area. We have had our eye on this spot for some time, but always seemed to be too busy to spend a day or so prospecting it. There was a ridge splitting two potentially good looking areas, so we both took one side and zig-zagged back in forth hoping to pop a nugget or two. The first hour I hit a small, 1/4 Dwt piece in a small drainage. Later in day I picked up 3 more small nuggets for a total of 4. The heat started to creep up, so I decided to see if my partner had any luck. As I was walking over the ridge, I saw him heading my direction. He was able to find 2 nuggets, but the color of his gold was a bit different. His gold was also much flatter than the small, chunky pieces I found. Our best guess was two different vein systems in the area. We were both using Minelab GPX 5000 metal detectors with 14-inch elliptical monoloop searchcoils. Hello All, Here is a two part video where my partner and I located a good target on the side of a bank. When we first located the target, it was just a faint whisper on the Minelab GPX 5000. After almost 30 minutes of careful digging, we were able to extract the target from the bank. Hello All, Here is one of the most recent Youtube videos. In this video I located a faint target in the bank of the creek. After digging down about 8-10 inches, you can see what the target was, Gold! I was using the Minelab GPX 5000 metal detector with the new Nugget Finder 14-inch RMZ Mono Searchcoil. I believe in the video I was using the Special/Sensitive/Extra timing, which is excellent for small gold under about 1/4 ounce in size. Hello All, Today my partner and I decided we were going to start metal detecting for nuggets early, around 5am. We managed to swing until around 1:30pm and then it was pretty warm. We drove through a few other areas thinking we might get a second wind, but after some walking around checking out a new spot, it was just too hot to start again. I did find a few spots that looked very interesting, excited to get back in the early AM to hit them sometime. Here is our take for the day. Biggest nugget was 4.95 Dwt's, total of all gold was around 14 Dwt's. My partner was using the Minelab GPX 5000 with a Coiltek 14-inch Blitz, I was using the GPX 5000 with the NF Advantage 14-inch. Hello All, Despite the hot weather, a partner and I decided to do some scratching out in the desert. The weekend didn't go the greatest, I felt crummy all weekend with a sore throat. Our $100 canopy took a flight and bent both legs in a 90 degree angle, so our so called escape from the Sun was gone the first hour. Low and behold today I managed to make it too work, but felt worse on arrival. I left and hit the nearest Urgent Care to find out I have Strep Throat! The good part is, we found a couple of ounces of nuggets (nothing too big), got to shoot the crap with "Nugget Bob" and shared some great times in the high desert regions of Arizona. I'm also getting pretty partial to the new NF 14-inch RMZ. It's a bit heavier than my prior Coiltek Goldstalker 14-inch Blitz, but the NF is very stable, amazingly sensitive to small gold and don't get snagged on brush. Our other partner didn't make it, as we are kind of like the "3 Stooges." Also fun when everyone can join in on the adventure and share the experiences that will never be forgotten.
