  1. When Gerry McMullen put his GPZ 7000 video on Youtube I made a comment jokingly, that this will be $10,000! I didnt think I would be right! I was just teasing - Oh well, that is my main rub with Minelab = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I can't wait for the GPZXX 15000, rumored to be $20,000! Yay. BK
  2. Steve, I am referring to the toe weight of when swinging the coils. Which the ATX feels lighter at the toe.
  3. Theres more out there finding gold with the ATX I think...but my sales also, since the SDC 2300 came out have been a bit lack luster now. Its a shame since the ATX performs very well, maybe it is because the 2300 can get just a bit smaller gold in hotter ground than the ATX can. As far as the weight goes, the ATX with its 8" mono coil is lighter to swing than the SDC 2300 - considerably different. The stock coil can be fatiguing sometimes...that is the one most people complain about. Anyway, here is a video of myself and my mining partner snagging two small nuggets with the ATX and it's 8" mono coil. I think I would find more if I were closer to gold deposits with either the 2300 or the ATX.
  4. Yea, Garrett should make their stock 10"x12" DD into a mono also, that would be killer. Bearkat
  5. Jim, make sure you have the coil cable to the housing attached tightly with no play at all. This can effect coil stability and ground balancing....good video! Bearkat
  6. As an owner of the Garrett ATX, I can assure you that the ATX is "not in the ballpark" with the TDI or Infinium. It is much better than both by a wide margin. It will easily pick up .1 gram nuggets with the stock 12" DD coil as well as the 8" mono. Never had my Infinium or TDI do that... See here of the ATX tested on small gold:
