Nokta just put out they have two PI detectors a gold nugget and relic detector coming but they don’t say how soon. They do have a naming contest for both detectors and if your name is the winner on either you win it . My understanding that contest ends the last day of April. Just do a search for Nokta detectors naming contest and it should pop up. If and when they do come out you don’t have to go far to make a buy being Rob is a dealer. Chuck

Dutch John Jim Straight Jim and I never talked directly but we did email now and then. I sent Jim some different material in the way of books and magazines for him to read. In turn he’d send me more than one of his books he put out and I know I didn’t pay for any. The sad part about people passing is you really don’t know how they affected your life until they gone. I’m sure Jim made a lot of people better prospectors from the books he put out and if nothing else a better person for knowing him. Chuck

You hard press to find a gold show of any size anymore. I know it’s some here and there but the big one most of the time was the GPAA one. You could find them going to different states even Texas. So if maybe bye them doing that a lot of people wouldn’t have a long drive to see what’s it’s all about. I keep telling myself I’m going to make the one at Quartzsite but that’s about a 1300 mile drive one way . The sad thing is my grandkids and great grandkids will never know what they missed. Chuck

Hey Minelab don’t you think it’s time for you to offer some smoking deals like that above again ??? I got money burning a hole in my wife’s pocket that I’m wanting to spend and I know it will go a long ways with more hot deals like you offered in the past. The Manticore has been selling fast as a coin and relic machine . It’s the high end of the other coin detectors . Everyone who has one have been waiting on other coils. Well your wait is over being Minelab has came out with two new coils for the Manticore. The first is the M8 it’s a 8 X 5.5 and you have the M15 it’s a 15 X 12 . You won’t see a price on either because Minelab hasn’t posted it yet. That M8 should be great for high trash areas and nugget hunting. If you got access to a beach then the M15 is the coil for you. One thing about Doc he’s not going to put something on the market for sale until he knows he’s got it right. You know you got your monies worth when you buy a cover for that high dollar detector and you getting it from Rob with Doc’s name on it. I remember when the SDC 2300 first came out I bought one. Rob had a booth at a GPAA gold show and I stopped by to buy Doc’s cover for it before I went on to nugget hunt. Oh that SDC came from Rob to. You can’t go wrong with a great dealer like Rob and the same goes for the products he sells. Chuck

Around two years ago above the town I call home a gate broke on the Guadalupe River. The powers that be come to the conclusion that all the dam gates needed to be repaired but had to find the first. After that money was found they started lowering river so work could be started . It first the water level was dropping and you could see dry land appearing. That’s when I told myself self when it gets lower you going to detect it , I know most items will relate to fishing but in one picture you will see a old bridge that has not been used in years. But what do people throw away that they want it gone for ever ? A gun and maybe I just may find one . I posted this on another forum and after I took the pictures it rained every week with more rain coming next week. I’ll post more if and when it stops raining. Chuck

It could help if the forum was setup something like what Steve H. forum but don’t have to be in total detail as his . In my opinion here is more like a shotgun effect. Bye that I mean don’t bunch everything together like it is now. Rob I know you running a business and I guess you still have another job but you yourself need to show more interest in this forum to keep it going. Chuck

GPAA has stated they are discontinuing having any gold shows for 2023 and following. If you were able to make any of the shows in 2022 you didn’t know that would be the last of a enjoyable event. Chuck

Got a email from Garrett stating today the first day of Match is the last day to get your name in for the big hunt .

That’s why people keep breaking the ears off their coils pushing them big rocks out of the way. Beautiful nugget and that shows they still out there to be found. Chuck

I said about this hunt on another post but posting it where it belongs. The hunt will be Canton Texas April 14th and 15th of 2023 . I’d received this bye email and also have the opportunity to sign up for the hunt. They were talking about a guest speaker that for myself have no interest in.
