  1. Sorry, I didn't reply to you guys, I had notifications turned on but the emails ended up in my junk mail. I didn't think anyone replied. I made it out twice and got some nice little pieces. Rob, I've been caught up racing again, and my dad is doing good. He's getting shoulder surgery so he's out for a few months...
  2. Got the bug to go find some more nuggets. I'm borrowing a 4500 for a week or two and will probably be hitting some of my old patches. If anyone wants to meet up let me know. I don't like going solo in the desert....
  3. WTG guys, you don't go by the name Lucky for nuthin' DigDeep
  4. I have seen a few crosses out there, but no cemetery. Never even heard of one. The guy who would know is Bob, goes by 29prospector on here. Here is a link to his profile: http://www.nuggethunting.com/forums/index.php?showuser=704 DigDeep
  5. I took the new pick and rare earth magnet out for a test drive yesterday and actually aimed for some of the trashier areas, I got the skunk but it really worked well and my recovery time increased considerably. Definitely took the frustration out of digging those noseeums iron pieces. Many times I didn't even have to break ground, I just put the magnet near the place I pinpointed and POP - iron would just jump from the depths. DigDeep
  6. http://stores.ebay.com/Neodymium-Magnet-For-Less Rob sells them too DigDeep
  7. I did some work to my little pick, this is an old Keen pick. Welded on some more steel / widened the the rear a bit and stuck on a LuckyLundy style Magnet. Rated at N50. 2"X2"X1". 254lb pulling power....Yea it squished my finger a bit when I put it on my pick lol BTW,for the hell of it I called Minelab because I was a little worried about a magnet that strong near the detector housing, I know there is a lot of electronics in there. Super magnets will trash a computer H/D pretty quick. They (Trina-at Minelab) said she has never heard of anyone ever having trouble with a Rare Earth Magnet causing any problems. so I guess it's cool to pack them together. DigDeep
  8. You just needed a big straw hat .... lol:D That sucks, I've given the desert a few puke samples, no fun. That's crazy you stayed that hot for so long even after being in a cool house. I was told by a doctor that your heat threshold / tolerance for extended heat exposure is lowered every time you get heat stoke. DigDeep
  9. Lol. That f-ing hat! Damn I had a good time this weekend, can't wait to get back up there. DigDeep (from my cell phone driving through - well somewhere on my way home.)
  10. Hold the control key down when you click, then choose "open in a new window" Hope that helps DigDeep
