  1. If someone has a problem with this forum or how you handle things, there are other forums out there they can go to. Maybe someone is dumb enough to give them gps coordinates where they have been finding monster nuggets! ?
  2. Rob, you have always given great deals on the stuff I have bought from you. That is all I ask part of the enjoyment of the hobby is doing the research and finding a spot where I can find a few flakes of gold. i personally don't care where you found your gold but I'm really glad you did and I'm terribly jealous!!! thanks for sharing the pictures, keep 'em coming! Chip
  3. I had my 5000 modded by woody about 2 years ago. The cost was 1340.00 u.s. at that time. woody has a 5 year warranty on his mods. They have worked excellent on my machine. To fully understand the mods I made a test patch with various weights of lead at different depths and this proved invaluable in understanding what the mods will do. if you sent it to OZ you need to print in large legible print " for repair and return" . I put 35 bucks value on the paperwork I filled out and no insurance. It's scary but I got it back with no problems. Chip
  4. I'm so sorry Rob. Prayers coming to you and your family. They work wonders now days and I'm sure he will be fine. Scary times for sure.
  5. Robs service and deals are second to none! He's a great dealer and a great guy! I just wish I had his nose for gold instead of cholla cactus!
  6. I recently bought a pair of Ariat Pro Flex boots for about 120. No metal at all. 6" lace up. They seem to be very comfortable. Bought them off the working persons store on the net.
  7. I have an autographed copy and feel real lucky that I do. Eric is in the process of publishing his new book on the plamosa mountains. It should be out soon.
  8. Just wondering if you ever made it to the lake havasu area? If you did, I hope you found some good gold, chip
  9. Rob, just read all these posts and just wanted to say that you are a great guy and a great dealer and prospector! you have made me very happy with your honesty, help, prices and friendship. Thank You very Much! negative stuff is just like politics, a bunch of crap! Chip
  10. way to go Rob! i'm still trying to find a patch like that around havasu Chip
  11. Thanks to all for the repies and encouragement! I've been prospecting for many years and i hope there are many more to come. The anticipation of finding a nugget is a very large part of the actual finding, you just never know when it's going to come! Again,Thanks for all the encouragement. Chip
  12. Thanks! I'm really proud of it! I think everybody that is into this hobby knows how hard I worked for it. And i dont care if it takes just as long to find the next one. It will all be worth it!
  13. i bought a gpx 5000 from Rob at the end of this last January. After countless hours and trash targets i finally found a nice little nugget with the gpx and a 6x8 nugget finder mono that i also bought from Rob. He kept telling me all i have to do is get the coil over some gold and i finally did it! Going again in the morning around the crossman peak area and can hardly wait to get out again. Many thanks to Rob! Chip from Havasu.
  14. I carry a Taurus .357 2" stainless snubby. I think it is a 605 model. I load two rounds of snake shot and three rounds of 357. The snake loads for 9mm won't chamber a second round due to reduced powder charge of the snake loads. this pistol is only 5 shots but is small and fairly light to carry. If you are right handed you can get a left handed holster and wear it on your belt on the small of your back, that way it will reduce it's signature to the detector and still be very handy. Chip
