  1. Thanks for posting the pic of the nugget Montana left for you as a an anniversary present. Several times I've followed Bob's track of shoe and old smoke butts and found lil nuggets he didn't find. I consider myself very lucky when I find something Bob left behind. On the other hand Bob has also found nuggets I overlooked so guess we are even. Don
  2. Morning Jennifer: I find it very interesting you have in hand a new 5500 when dealers like Rob have recently stated, to the best of my knowledge, they had no idea when MineLab would have a new CPX machine in production. So what's the deal Lucile (No offense intended Jennifer)!! Don
  3. Morning All: A long time ago I decided the heavy Minelab battery wasn't for me so I optesd for a Li Ion battery and love it. I also have twin external speakers ala Montan Bob Dansie and love em too. If I want to use headpones all I have to do is unplug the external speakers and plug in the head set. I'll keep my 4500 set-up as it is and not spring for a new unit until I wear it out (if ever)! Don
  4. eshawnjohnson2000: I'd suggest you check with Kentucky an see if they have an Antiquity Law and what is or isn't covered by the law. Many states have such laws on their books which cover Native American items. Don
  5. Gary I've tried to call him for 2-1/2 hours and the line is always busy. Guess he's on the puter. Can you PM me with his email addy so I can at least let him know I've tried to call? Thanks, Don
  6. Dean: I am having computer problems and need to talk with you. If you will provide your telephone number I will call you or if you want you can call me at 928-427-0064. I am in Arizona and usually available between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Look forward to talking with you, Don A.K.A. Bandana Don.
  7. grubstake: Put me down as one forum member who's wishimg you only the best. I always enjoy your postings. Don
  8. Morning Pat: Yup, one never knows what the next hour's weather will be at Rye Patch. It's a crap shoot for sure. I've seen Rye Patch weather start out with clear blue sky and in a short period of time seen it blow cold winds, rain, sleet, and snow all within a few hours. Those chevron nuggets are sure pretty! Don
  9. I looked over the GPAA article on Smelting Gold. It's my opinion the article is pretty general leaving out a lot of needed and technical info. Chris is right there are books and reports available. Don
  10. Rob are thinking about some 55 gallon drums near Rich Hill? The bbl's of stuff I've seen do not appear to have been run over a shaker table...just too much sand. If the bottoms of the barrels aren't rusted out it'd take a fork lift or loader to move the barrels I've seen. No, I never took any samples to have assayed! Don
  11. Grubstake I sure hope and pray your health improves soon. What you are going through must be awful. My best to you, Don
  12. WTG Unc: Couldn't get the video pic to play, if there was one, but did hear the voice part. Re: Illegals and Hospital Care pleaee see my post on AZO. Thanks, Don
  13. G'day Modelbuilder: My guess is that "only Miraha's wispering winds know." Don
  14. Any soldier, sailor, marine or airman asked to go to war and risk being killed or seriously wounder surely has the right to have a smoke. After puffing for 55 years I no longer smoke but that's my choice! Don
