  1. I was a member and stayed at Stanton and really enjoyed it. The following year they had no space and I said I would dry camp until there was an opening if I could ged water for the rv and use the dump station and was told rather rudely NO. Then they lost the Boothill part of the camp as it was closed due to not having permits. I was getting nothing in return for me dues and maintance fees so didn't renew. I stayed up in Yarnell at a rv park and used Weaver and Ynot claims to detect on Good friendly folks at both of those and reasonable fees. If you get nothing for your money you ain't gonna stay.
  2. No thanks necessary Bill. I am sure you have helped others many times. The guys and gals who are involved in prospecting are one of the reasons I love prospecting. Our thoughts and prayers are wikth you and your wife. I wish you both the best. Slim.
  3. I am glad to help Rob and although I have never met you or Bill You have come up with a great idea. The support for this project is super and is just another reason I love prospecting. You are a great guy for helping a friend even though he is a bussiness competetor. Slim
  4. I know how you felt when you found the painted rock because the first day after buying my ML4000 I was working the side of a ridge at Stanton, AZ and dug a target. It was about 8" deep and turned out to be a large cal. bullet wraped in gold foil. I thought "this detecting is a lot easier than they say on all the forums" when that slug jumped out of the hole. It looks real enough that it fooled Chris G. for a second or two when I showed it to him. I still have it since it is my first nugget. It wasn't where there would be a lot of traffic detecting like in a wash or tailing pile. I don't know how it got there or why but had been there for quite a spell.
  5. Hi Ron and Congratulations to You both on your anniversary. Nice chunky nugget. Bob must have left it there for a anniversary gift. It ain't like him to leave something like that laying around just ten inches in the ground. I hope to meet you this winter.
  6. Y not has some good ground claimed around Stanton. I was a member two years ago and found my first nugget on one of their claims. The fee was $30 or $35 for you and spouse then. Miners Creek Prospecting also has claims but is quite a bit higher priced. Y Not and Weaver will give you the best deal for the money. Two years ago Y not had 2 or 3 thousand acres under claim. Good hunting.
  7. Like most users I wouldn't understand even the terminology in a "debate". Just send a prototype to Montana Bob and let him test it in the field. If he reports that your detectos is as good as any ML from the 2100 to the 4500 I am sure you will sell all you can produce. For less than a grand your detector doew not have to be better than a ML 4500. It is really simple as Montana is highly respected and an amazing detectorist. Just send him a prototype.
  8. Doug I don't understand all the workings of any detector. Lets stop all the debating by experts and bench testing results which I don't understand anyhow. All you have to do is send Montana Bob, Chris, or Rob a prototype to test and report the results. You may also sent one to Lucky Lunde and Shep to test in CA, and to Reno or Lunk to try in NV. If they say that your machine will work as well as the 2100 to the 4500 ML and costs less than a grand I will buy one to use as a backup detector to my 4000. I just want to hear what some of the expert detectorists report. I trust these fellows judgement and honesty. Just send them a detector to try out. Simple ain't it?
  9. I just checked the bill. Not snopes. I don't know how to delete. sorry.
  10. Everyone needs to look at Senate Bill-2099 which will require registration and possible tax. You gun owners know who to call and let everyone you know about this. PLEASE DISREGUARD THIS POST. THANKS. Slim
  11. Welcome back Grubstake, I look forward to your posts.
  12. The depth that coil should get you would need a backhoe to dig targets and refill holes.
  13. Hey Ridge, May not be too long before toilet paper is worth more than the dollar.
  14. Glad to hear you are doing well at least according to the Dr. Take care and good luck, I am also looking forward to getting back to some prospecting.
  15. HI Doc, I can only imagine how much you are looking forward to all this but the procedure ain't too bad. Not nearly as bad as the prep. Let us know how everything comes out. Oops bad choice of words. I'll be thinking of you and wish you the best.
