Simple, DD coil will discriminate ferrous metal unlike Mono.

Actually you can use Detacc booster on GPX4500 battery. All you need is to open the battery box, disconnect headphone wires from the PCB and reconnect directly of each in/out ends. This will bypass the built-in amp and there would be no conflict. Also if your built-in amp gets noisy this will solve the problem. However, mind that this will VOID WARRANTY, so think twice before tinkering.

I've noticed how detectors cause EMI to other detectors nearby. I'd guess this ferrite bead will help to reduce that interference. Am I right? On another thought, will this affect how the coil works in terms of depth, target response, mineralization etc.
