  1. Hi All Here is some gold we found in one lake, we detected the lake with 4 guy's for 6 day's. We detect this lake for many years butt last year the water level was down 50 cm so it was like hitting a 2 mile glory hole. In the 3 trips we made to the lake we had a grand total off 1342 grams. For me personely, comming from regular goldhunting with goldpan, sluising and dredging this is the easy way off finding gold in a drysuit and detector. Kind regarts from Holland Gerrit
  2. Hi Emamco/all Use the sef 6 x 8 and the 10 x 12 on my e-trek, both great coils, specialy the smal one. tryed a 15 inch for a while, butt for me to heavy and not much off a extra dept. For dept on my 4000 I use a round 16 inch nf mono. For the dept a round one is allways bether. Regarts from Holland Gerrit
  3. Hi Border boy Is it the sef butterfly what you mean, if so, thye are way to heavy in the size 17 inch. wait for the nugget finder or coiltec. Regarts Gerrit
  4. Hi Scot As for the coil, the best would be a 6 x 8 SEF coil, during a airtest it will pick up a 0.09 gram nuggie at 2 inches +, my 4000 does not see it. The e-trek is a very sensetive detector with the best dept, as we use it on old roman sites so full off nails and mineralisation, i cauld amagine you could use it on the less minerelised goldfields with a lot off iron, with a litle bit off disk, you wil have the advantage off not digging to much crap. Butt, for the deeper gold i would use a 4000 or 4500. The e-trek is the best general purpose detector at the moment. Kind regarts from Holland Gerrit

  6. Hi Sheri/Rob Yes it is strapped to the unit, there is a metall klip on the pocket rocket you can easely put over the edge from your detector and use a srap to hold it on place. The pocket rocket system is a must have thing Grubstake, I tryed bluetooth before but for me it did't work because off a to slow respons in transmision. Kind regarts from Holland Gerrit
  7. Hi Grubstake Use my 4000 totaly wireless, no wires conected to my body. Use the pocket rocket and a gitar transmitter and wireless headset. The gitar transmitter is from, T-Bone gt-ews, its UHF 863-865 mhz The headset is a sennheiser HDR 100 But you can allway's find another one that will match. The signal is direct , not like bluetooth. Together with the pocket rocket its featherlight, i find it lighter than the E-TRAC, even with the 16 inch nuggetfinder mono. Kind regarts from Holland Gerrit
