  1. Hi All Here is some gold we found in one lake, we detected the lake with 4 guy's for 6 day's. We detect this lake for many years butt last year the water level was down 50 cm so it was like hitting a 2 mile glory hole. In the 3 trips we made to the lake we had a grand total off 1342 grams. For me personely, comming from regular goldhunting with goldpan, sluising and dredging this is the easy way off finding gold in a drysuit and detector. Kind regarts from Holland Gerrit
  2. Hi Skip Some 10 years, in the hollyday's and some long weekends. The local guy's, the good ones, find up to 1 pound in a long season, and this in a hand operation only because you are not alout to use a dredge or a handwinch. There stil is a great amount off gold in thoose hils butt very hard to get. Lately i find gold the easy way, detecting the freshwater swimming waters off half off Europe, in a drysuit and a excalibur. Regards from Holland Gerrit
  3. Hi All This is some gold I found in the upper rhein region in Switserland. All gold was found, sluising, panning and sniping, dit not have the luck to find some with a metall detector. Biggest nugget 10.6 gram. Biggest nugget found in the upper rhein region was 123 grams [ not by me ] Regarts from Holland Gerrit/Users/gglezer/Documents/foto's pap/Goud.jpg
  4. Hi silentarrow Very nice film, very interesting. You wrote, I ordered a 2.4GHz set. Both the headset and transmitter are wireless and battery powered. Cauld you give me the name and number off the 2.4 khz setup and were to buy it in the usa. Can't find it in europe wright now. Thank's and goodluck on your projecs. Regarts from Holland Gerrit
  5. Hi All There is only the guitar transmitter and the headset, nothing in between. My headset is the hdr 100 not the rs 100, sorry to mix things up guy's. There is no delay, its as fast as a regular headset like the koss ur 30. The guitar transmitter comes with a mono jack, it works with the 4000 butt its possible that it don't work on every detector, some need a stereo jack, there is a easy test for this, if it works on your radio or tv and not on the detector, you have to file a groove in the jack to make it stereo. Not all headsets in the 863-865 range will work, you have to find out yourself, the hdr 100 works butt its a older model. Meaby you can contact this company, http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-AKG-GTRBUGFL40A-LIST?src=A0807AFLHAMS0000 this guitar transmitter has a 11 houres batery live, mine has only 3 to 4 houres [ single aaa batery ] They also could find out wath headset wil match. Good luck with your project. Regards Gerrit
  6. Hi All Use this on my 4000 for 2 year now, a guitar transmitter like this http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_gt_ews.htm and a sennheiser rs 100 wireless headset this is no bluetoothso so no delay's, in combination with the pocket rocket system I am completly wireless. If you look for guitar transmitters on google, you wil find oter brands to. Regards from Holland Gerrit
  7. Hi Dutch John/All Pieter, will be in my home tomorrow sinds he is in Holland every year. Together we do some detecting for roman and celtic coins and artefacs in Holland and France iff there is some spare time. On one occation we found one gold and one silver celtic coin from the eburonen tribe. I will send him regards from you all. Kind regards from Holland Gerrit
  8. Hi Emamco/all Use the sef 6 x 8 and the 10 x 12 on my e-trek, both great coils, specialy the smal one. tryed a 15 inch for a while, butt for me to heavy and not much off a extra dept. For dept on my 4000 I use a round 16 inch nf mono. For the dept a round one is allways bether. Regarts from Holland Gerrit
  9. Hi Border boy Is it the sef butterfly what you mean, if so, thye are way to heavy in the size 17 inch. wait for the nugget finder or coiltec. Regarts Gerrit
  10. Hi Scot As for the coil, the best would be a 6 x 8 SEF coil, during a airtest it will pick up a 0.09 gram nuggie at 2 inches +, my 4000 does not see it. The e-trek is a very sensetive detector with the best dept, as we use it on old roman sites so full off nails and mineralisation, i cauld amagine you could use it on the less minerelised goldfields with a lot off iron, with a litle bit off disk, you wil have the advantage off not digging to much crap. Butt, for the deeper gold i would use a 4000 or 4500. The e-trek is the best general purpose detector at the moment. Kind regarts from Holland Gerrit

  12. Hi Sheri/Rob Yes it is strapped to the unit, there is a metall klip on the pocket rocket you can easely put over the edge from your detector and use a srap to hold it on place. The pocket rocket system is a must have thing Grubstake, I tryed bluetooth before but for me it did't work because off a to slow respons in transmision. Kind regarts from Holland Gerrit
  13. Hi Grubstake Use my 4000 totaly wireless, no wires conected to my body. Use the pocket rocket and a gitar transmitter and wireless headset. The gitar transmitter is from, T-Bone gt-ews, its UHF 863-865 mhz The headset is a sennheiser HDR 100 But you can allway's find another one that will match. The signal is direct , not like bluetooth. Together with the pocket rocket its featherlight, i find it lighter than the E-TRAC, even with the 16 inch nuggetfinder mono. Kind regarts from Holland Gerrit
