  1. I haven't even owned a white shirt for like 20 years. I'm all thumbs and they only end up staying white for 1 day. 😁
  2. Cool piece Rob, Here's one from a few years ago that also resembles a boot.. not my find, but it passed through my hands.
  3. Keep finding chunky pieces like that and the gold will start adding up quick. Very exciting! 👍
  4. Those will only find gold in the forest. Perhaps they will come out with a desert camo version soon for you guys in AZ. ?
  5. You can always Identify bear scat... it smells like pepper spray and has little bells in it.
  6. Here's a couple old ones from Anvil Creek. I wouldn't mind finding one like these...
  7. I have a couple buddies who immigrated here from Russia a few years ago. From what they have told me (not about gold mining, just life in general), you can do pretty much anything in Russia as long as you've got enough cash on hand to bribe your way out of trouble... That's an amazing looking nugget!
  8. It's always neat to hear how much gold based on the SG test is in specimens. You sure wouldn't assume there was 4oz in there at first glance. Congrats on one heck of a speci!
  9. I had the same thought Rod, even If it was here in the US I think I'd pass just the same. Still a pretty fun idea though. Matt
  10. It seems like central and western Africa are really the last frontier for gold mining. It pretty neat to think that there are still undiscovered gold areas that have never even been detected before. Places like Mali, Burkina Faso, Mauritania still have some serious gold left to find. I don't think I'm adventurous enough to going after it myself though. Here's some more about Mauritania gold: http://raregoldnuggets.com/blog/?p=2166
