I"v ben playing around with it and seams to be as good as the 11" round i have just a lot lighter. Put some tork on the coil and its stiff and strong but looks like you could chip it against rocks.Glad it came with a coil cover. I think 2005-2006 was the last year for the fiberglass coils not sure. It does run quiet on the GPX nice..
Picked up a Nuggett finder 14-9 DD fiberglass coil .Did some testing with it and did realy good .It's light weight to .Any of you guy's still use thise coils.
Yea I guess its the same with the pocket rocket to thay do seam to last a long time though .......any one Know if all the GPX batterys are interchangable like can I use the 5000 battery on a 4500? I think thay use the same power cord.
there's a guy on E-Bay selling coil wire for Minelab coils...He say's you need to use special wire for it to work right...He has some info on it on his page..Look under (Coil wire Minelab) -E-Bay...HH Hobby
I checked and the DD cable is a flater cable and Mono is round......Wonder Y thay just don't mark them from the factory....I also tested A DD coil in Mono and only half the coil was working. Little hard to tell but you can.. Hobby
