  8. Jen, the Reno chapter of GPAA (I think it is anyways) is having the Rye Patch Nugget Shoot on Saturday Sep. 17 starting at 10 am. Google it for all the info. Booths and talks and maybe 500 to 1000 people. Check it out.
  9. North Ranch, the Escapees park, is 17 miles from Wickenburg, but that much closer to Stanton, Rich Hill, and all the club claims. You have to go right past North Ranch if you stay in any RV parks in Wickenburg. You can stay there as a non member for a few days, but to spend several months you would have join Escapees. Not that expensive and a really good deal. Hope that helps and wish I was still living on the road and down there for the winter. Goldbug Ron
  10. The GPAA has a sluice made from rain gutter with black ribbed mat. You spoon the concentrate in and the black sand ends up further down the ribbed mat than the gold does. I made one about 20 years ago and it works better than anything else I have seen.
  11. If you have, or can get, some electronic spray contact cleaner, spray the pins and the holes of both coil cable and detector box. Spray it good a couple of times and see if the problem goes away. I do this occasionally on my GB 2 and my ML 4000. Keeps the problem at bay. Goldbug Ron
  12. Looking for the 3 inch or 6 inch coil for the original Fisher Gold Bug. Not the new GB or Gold Bug 2. PM me if you have one. Thanks. Goldbug Ron
  13. Doug, what area were you hunting at. Sounds like the mines down south of Hawthorne. Goldbug Ron
  14. Miner49, I just got a GB Pro and really can't answer that question yet. The Pro sounds very much like the GB2 with the additional digital features. Perhaps you could address that question to my long time hunting partner TrinityAu. He has been using the Pro since March, and knows a lot more about it than I do. Goldbug Ron
